The last few days saw the ecstasy & agony with my Phillies, and I scrapped them both. (Click for credits.)

Before the game Wednesday, the Phils received their World Champions Rings. They are amazing! I took 200 pics from the ceremony alone, I had no idea how I could narrow it down for a LO. I used a monthly project 365 template to fit as many pics in as I could, and I could probably make several more LOs, lol! I have loads of baseball elements, but because I have so many pics, I kept the elements to a minimum. It was such an amazing & emotional ceremony, the fans have been looking for to this since the victory.

Yesterday, Harry Kalas died. He was the Hall of Fame announcer for the Phils, and a Hall of Fame person. He never turned down a request for anything. Thousands of people around the area have a recording he personally did for them as their voice mail/answering machine message (never me, lol, but 2 of his calls are ring tones/alerts on my phone.) I can't even put into words what he means to Phillies fans & the city of Philadelphia. He was a friend & family member for us all. He's all I've known as the voice of the Phils, listening to a game will never be the same. Everyone is happy that at least he got to make the ultimate call in October, when the Phils won. I have never been so affected when a person that I didn't personally know (though we all "knew" him) passed away.

The last Phillies home game he did was that ring ceremony game. He threw out the first ball at that game. When I was doing my ring ceremony LO, I thought about including a pic of Harry throwing out the first ball, but decided I'd include it on a LO for the actual game. The next day, he passed away (while in the broadcasters booth, getting ready for the game, btw.) I felt compelled to do a tribute LO. I used 2 pics from that game & grabbed 2 pics of him from the playoffs for this LO.



So sad, hug the ones you love everyday.
