I don't know if this is the right place for this thread but here it goes...........I recently bought a new digital camera and i am having problems with green tinted pictures. It seems all the pictures have a green tint to them. I have tried to find an answer on their web site but nothing there. Does anyone have any tips?? I have a kodak easy share cx7430 camera. Thanks.:(

Do the pictures have a tint when they are printed out, or just when you view them on the camera? If just when viewing them, try printing them out, sometimes the view screens on cameras distort things a bit. If they are still green printed out then it sounds to me like your color settings are off on the camera, though not being familure with it I don't know if you can even adjust the color on it (mine you can but it is an HP) If you can not find a way to adjust the color and the camera has been doing this since you got it, I would either return to the store where you got it or contact Kodak directly as it is possible there is something wrong with the camera. Good luck!

One other thing I just thought of, and this may sound incredibly silly, but have you checked the camera lense to make sure there is not some type of protective film over it? If it is brand new, I guess it is possible that there might still be a protective covering on the lense.......

Thanks a lot for your reply, i did try to get in contact with Kodak and nothing. I tried e-mailing them but the e-mail just wouldn't go through so i finally just brought the camera back to the store and they looked at it. Sure enough there was something wrong with the camera. I thought it was just something i was doing. The green was in the picture and also there when you looked through the screen. They exhanged it no problem and i took some test photos and no green!:Pinkbounc I bought this camera so i can practice taking great photos for our upcoming trip to Disney in December:hyper: Thanks again, I learn more from these treads than anywhere else!

Okay, don't get mad if you think this is a dumb question but my colors turn out weird when I forget to change the light settings, ie
from tungsten light to outdoors.

Also, sometimes the lighting in a building will turn them green, I have this problem on my regular camera.

I tried changing the light settings too but still green. I took some pictures outside too with the correct setting and when i looked in the lcd screen on the camera you can see the green even before you took the picture. Like maybe it was something in the camera. It was strange but now with the new one it's fine, no green.

I bought a Kodak digital camera for my grandparents and it was a TERRIBLE camera so they returned it. I have a CANON digital elph. AWESOME CAMERA!!!! Excellent pictures every single time and super user friendly. My husband is a professional photograhper so when I got the canon camera he was a little mad at me that they wouldn't be that good of quality, but after I printed out the first pictures he was quite impressed. Once I was shown all the tricks of good pictures, they were EVEN better. I am so happy with my pictures every single time. HOORAY FOR DIGITAL CAMERAS!!!!!!
:goodvibes

I have to second that Kodak comment. I'm in technology and have used 20-30 cameras. Kodak just makes a poor camera, clunky and they don't take very good photos. Canon and Olympus make the best....of course just all IMHO.

I bought a Kodak, too. I was so disappointed. I thought maybe it was just me because everything I read indicated it was a good camera. I'm so fed up with it, I'm using my old 35mm all the time again. I definitely was not going to bring the Kodak to Disney.

I bought a Kodak 6490 and LOVE it. It takes magnificent pictures. I've even printed some to 20"x30". And it has a lot of manual features and a 10x optical zoom, so I can take a wider range of pictures.

I tried a Canon first, but it didn't take as good pictures, and the controls were inconveniently laid out.

I guess to each their own.

I have to agree with the last post. I have used a professional Canon SLR for years. I love my 28-300 telephoto lens and was very hesitant to go to digital. In fact, it took my hubby two years to convince me. We purchased the Kodak dx6490 after researching extensively (and Consumer Reports rating) and I have been totally impressed by the ease, quality and overall satisfaction we have experienced with this camera. The 10x zoom is even better than my 28-300 since it approximates to about 380. The color and clarity have been truly amazing. And for simplicity, you just can't beat that handy little dock, rechargable battery that never seems to quit (300 plus shots and still goes on) and 2+ inch LCD display is a plus too!

I have a kodak easyshare camera and was wondering if anyone had the printer dock and if they liked it. Is the cost of paper and ink worth printing at home?

I have the easyshare but did not invest in the printer dock. Maybe I need to try this camera again. I probably just need to give it a chance. I'm starting to think I've gotten a "lemon" or maybe it's just the user!!! The batteries are dead all the time, and I never seem to get a good charge. I'm not a gadget person so that doesn't really help me.

I haven't been to Disney in a few years, and I can't remember if you can take flash photos in some of the rides...such as It's a Small World, Pirates of the Carribean, etc, if anyone knows please let me know! I am going in a week and a friend is taking her kids in August. They are devistated that It's a Small World is going to be closed when they get there. I was hoping to bring them back some pictures of it. Since they have never been there. Thanks so much!

I have the Kodak dx6440 camera and it came with the docking station and it's been a great camera and it takes great pictures.
I use the docking station to recharge the battery and I've been using it since Dec. and never needed a new batter and I've taken over 900 picures.

Turner5: I went through the batteries the camera came with quickly but then bought two more and haven't replaced them since. It's only been a few weeks but i have taken a lot of pictures and most of all had the camera on a lot playing with all the features. I did invest in the rechargeable ones but have yet to use them. I do not have the dock to charge them either. Maybe you need to talk to someone where you bought it. I had to return my 1st camera because it was taking green pictures. They replaced it and I love my Kodak.

I've read that it is more cost effective to just order your prints from Ofoto.com (which is owned by Kodak) rather than use the printer dock. The printer dock limits the size pictures you get. Plus the cost of ink and paper is high.

I use Ofoto all the time...even had a few 20x30" printed...and the prints look great.

Maybe I should get the dock. I have the CX4310. It's driving me crazy. I'm not kidding. I do an upload and take a couple of pictures and I get a low battery every time. Back to the charger......I've used the Lithium double A and the battery pack both. Does this sound normal???

Turner5: i use the lithium too but never had a problem but i have a different model camera the cx7430. so far so good.

They are great!

Great prices, point and shoot great pictures and they even take short bursts of video.

I got my daughter saying "I love you daddy" at the contempory pool on video on her first trip to WDW. I would have never got that with my regular video cam.

My entire family has the Canon's now!

I recommend them highly.
