Digital Camera Newbie Help

We've purchased a Canon Coolpix camera and I have a few questions about having prints made. Please help a newbie...

Does the memory card need to be full or can I take it anytime and have the pictures printed off?

Also, does the memory card need to be reformatted again?

I think you have a Nikon? they have the coolpix line -

Your memory card does not need to be filled in order to get pictures printed - You could even have one picture on the card and get it printed -

Costco has the best prices for this ($.19) Although, if you are printing more than 50 pictures, then Walgreens does them for ($.20)

I believe, as long as you are using the flash card in the same camera, it does not need to be formated again - I am not positive about that though -
