Digital camera for almost 12 yo

Hi:
My gd will be 12 in January and I was thinking about getting her a digital camera for Christmas. I'm not looking to spend a lot because I'm not sure how much she will use it. She likes to take pictures as all children do and she has used her Mom's digital camera, and I know she'll be happy to get a digital camera, but again I don't want to go to the extreme because this will be her first digital camera. I just bought my 12yr old a Kodak easy share digital camera for Christmas. It is the C513 zoom digital camera w/5.0mp. I know it comes in silver or pink. It's got the big screen on back which I like.

I got it at Walmart and paid a little over $80 for it. I found there to be a lot of digitals out there for under $100 (online & in store).

Has she used it yet? I bought a Kodak at Target on Black Friday, it was only 89.00. I keep debating about keeping it or returning it. It is for my 12 year old also.....
