different airlines and ME?

I am considering booking one way plane tickets and using one airline to go to Orlando and a different airline to return home. If I do that, I can get the exact departure and arrival times I want and save over $500 from booking round trip on either airline. Has anyone done this and had any issues with ME over it? Anyone had any other issues with using separate airlines and one way tickets instead of roundtrip on the same airline. I've never done anything but round trip before, so I would appreciate any advice or experience anyone can give. Thanks.

No issues at all, in fact even when using the same airline I rarely book round trip anymore. Just give DME your flights and all will be fine :)

Here's what we're doing in a month...
All three of us fly to MCO on SW. A week later, after switching resorts, my dh leaves for home, again on SW. Then, dd and I make a third resort switch, and we fly home on JB.
I was actually quite surprised when I got my DME info packets, all with the info 100% correct!! No issues at all...even with the multiple resort changes as well as airline changes.

Do this all the time ... booked airtran down, Continental back .... no problems. For sure!
