what are the differences between the two? I read about cabanas - which one has them and if both which is the better use of one??
Blizzard Beach has more & better waterslides. Typhoon Lagoon has the most thrilling wave pool, and a small snorkeling area. The cabanas at Typhoon Lagoon have roofs, unlike the umbrella-based "Polar Patios" at Blizzard Beach.what are the differences between the two? Not necessarily. Blizzard Beach has a very developed young kids area. Also, I would never put a small child in Typhoon Lagoon's tsunami-type wave pool (though others do...) Blizzard Beach has a more typical wave pool, and both parks have nice lazy rivers. I actually recommend Blizzard Beach. It sounds like typhoon lagoon might be the better choice for a family with a 4 y/o, 2 y/o, and infant?

They'll be too young for the snorkeling or wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon, so there might not be enough for the little ones to do there, though others might disagree.
Blizzard Beach is a better choice for kids that young. It sounds like typhoon lagoon might be the better choice for a family with a 4 y/o, 2 y/o, and infant?
Not sure if it is teuw or not but I've always been told Blizzard Beach's water is colder than Typhon Lagoon's since it is suppose to be melted snow. Not like cold enough to make you sick but definitly different. Again may not be true at all but I've heard it more than once.
I'm not sure if they control the temps in the water or not, but the only difference I notice is the big slides on BB have colder water. The lazy rivers, wave pools and smaller slides seem the same to me. We were just in BB yesterday and TL on Tuesday. I don't know that I'd agree BB has more thrill rides. TL has Humunga Kowabunga, Crush n Gusher and some other really fun ones. The family tube in BB is bigger, so if you have a family of 5 like we do, you can all ride together. TL wave pool is vicious, in a fun way. Just be careful, it WILL knock you down...my knee still hurts after hitting it on the floor 10 days ago. BB kids area is definitely better than TL. The shark reef at TL is fun, really fun, but that water is freezing cold, as in take your breath away cold.
