What is the difference between the

"Deluxe Staterooms with Verandah 5 " on Deck 7 and the
"Deluxe Staterooms with Verandah 6 " on Deck 6?

Is there a difference in pricing?

Thanks to you guys I now know the difference between the regular verandah and the navigator's verandah but this one I don't get.

Also, why do some booking engines/sites have only the Deluxe Stateroom with Navigator's Verandah listed but you are able to select a cabin that on the Disney site is listed as a Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah (regular)?

Thanks for the help.

The cabins and verandahs are identical, only the location is different. The higher decks are considered a better location for whatever reason and cabins there are priced slightly higher.

The category 6 and 5 rooms are exactly the same, verandah and all. They are just on different decks. Cat. 5's are on deck 7 and cat 6's are on deck 6 (Deck 7 is one floor higher than six). There is a slight difference in pricing with the Cat. 6 on deck 6 being a little cheaper due to the fact that they are on a lower deck (higher decks are considered more "desirable" in the cruise world, thus pricier).

As to why some booking sites show no availability for regular verandahs but Disney does... These sites buy blocks of cabins from Disney to resell. They may have sold all of their regular verandahs but still have the navigator verandah in their inventory. Disney shows availability because they still have access to regular verandahs that they did not sell to another supplier.

Thanks Jest & Dis,

What I meant by my second question was, for example,

On Libery Travel they list the Deluxe Navigator Verandah with a selection of cabins. I am able to select a cabin that "technically", according to the deck layout on the Disney site and cruiseonly site are Deluxe Verandah (regular) rooms (ex. 7082).

So in other words, on Liberty the cabin is labeled Navigator Verandah but I am able to select a regular Deluxe Verandah.
I was just wondering why that was.

Ah, I think I see what you mean. I don't really have an answer, other than Liberty is somehow messed up. I visited their site and played with some dates, etc. and mostly I got the right cats. according to the diagram. But it also let me pick my cruise date and enter my cabin number at the bottom where you get to pick your own cabin. Now, I know that cabin is sold (and has been for awhile) but it was still going to let me book it. Scary. Anyway, I think they've got something crossed somewhere.

Some sites still list the reclaassified 7's as cat. 5's. (There are cabins that used to be classified as 6 or 5, but got reclassified to 7's becasue the verandah is slightly obstructed. But they have the same type of verandah as a "true" 5 or 6, just a piece of metal that obscures one corner). I notice Expedia still lists these as 5's. But these are 7120, 7620, 6134 & 6634 -- not the cabin # you cited in your example. So all I can think is that liberty is messed up. When in doubt, go with the Disney deck plan.
