I am just curious as they are both the same amount of points. Does anyone like one versus the other view?

Trying to decide what I want to request for my next WDW adventure (this time only with my college aged DD). I know I can save some points on a standard studio but not sure what I should do yet and have no clue what the difference is between prreferred and boardwalk view!!

Thank you

yes, they are the same points. Personally, we now take just a standard view having been awaken late at night from noise from people on the Boardwalk when the bars close.

Boardwalk view is a view of the boardwalk section of preferred view and a special booking catagory that goes quickly. Standard view also goes quickly, so depending on when you are going, you would want to book it as early as possible in either the 11 or 7 month booking windows. My guess is that standard view will be almost impossible later than 11 months unless you waitlist.

Boardwalk view is facing the boardwalk. Preferred pool/garden faces the 2 pools or garden areas (one area is facing the Swan/Dolphin on the end near Jellyrolls, another area is the Village Green on the boardwalk side but that is studios only).

We prefer the Villiage Green view. HOWEVER that being said we too have had some disturbance's by extremely intoxicated ppl trying to get up the staircase to the lobby. Shawnpirate:

Boardwalk view is one of the best if not the best views at WDW; preferred non-boardwalk is generally okay but nothing to get overly excited about. We have had standard (not bad) and preferred pool/garden but generally now always get boardwalk view because it can't be beat.
