Trying to get ADR for one of these Nov 8. Are the 2 pretty much the same or are their differences. Better food, atmosphere, or easier to get into at either of the sites?

They are the same, just depends if you are at AK or DTD. The one at AK gets pretty busy since there are not a lot of TS in AK. If your kids like RFC have you checked out TRex? Something a little different :thumbsup2

Thanks form the info. Did think of T Rex, but we haven't been to RF in a few years so my little boys haven't ever been. My 3 yr old is an animal lover so we are going for him. I dont think the food is that great, but we are going for the experience. Probably do DTD & check out the one there.

They are the same.....basically, all the restaurants seem to be the same. We have 1 about 15 min from my home in Canada, and it's the same as both at Disney.....

And PP is right, the DTD one does seem to be a bit more relaxed and quiet, not as many people due to AK not having many TS. Enjoy:)

We did do breakfast at the one in AK once - could not get into Tusker House no matter how hard I tried :headache: - and it was pretty good. Since most ppl just went straight into the park the place was mostly empty. The service was fast and the food was good. DD had most of teh place to herself and just walked around looking at all the "animals". Maybe go in the AM if you wanted to try the one at AK :)

The one downtown does not serve breakfast. So I'm going to the one in AK.

Not much difference. They are both pretty bad.

One important difference for us was that the one at AK took reservations. We simply made it for 5:30 on the day we were leaving the park and it worked perfect. DTD does not accept reservations and there is normally a good wait time.

I think I have made reservations at the RFC in DTD.

Anywho I've eaten at RFC (both locations) and T-Rex. The food is not terrible, it is typical chain restaurant fare.

Between the two locations the DTD location is less crowded esp since the opening of T-Rex.

In terms of atmosphere, I find T-Rex has Rainforest beat. The dinos are impressive and the meteor shower puts the thunderstorm to shame.

Maybe we're in the minority here but we always eat at the one at AK because there is never a wait. Just about 1 month ago we called DTD to see how long of a wait for dinner and they said 2 hours, called AK 5 min. I've never had to wait for the one at AK, even at busy lunch time. I don't know maybe just lucky but every time I have ever been to the one in DTD its at least a 2 hour wait. Plus remember parking is free at AK, if you are just going to eat @ RFC.
