Hello Everyone! I just went through all of the posts and am getting very excited about the trip! We are a family of 4, my hubby and myself and girls ages 7 and 5. This is our second Disney Cruise. We are coming from the East Coast, so this is a big adventure for us!

Hey! I finally figured out how to get onto this DIS board!! I have been following everyone's posts but was unable to post anything.

We are first time cruisers traveling with Jareds mommy and sweet pea.

all the new families.now into tastings not want to make no one jealous but dh just informed me that this evening we have the most amazing port wine tasting with very old ports (starting in the 1900 year and going up),and two degustations whith wine parings of the 2 of the greasteat chefs in the country(michelins stars chefs),and dd is hapily making the bags to go to my inlaws house.it was a last minute suprise,i`snt hubby the best?
i wiil think of my dis friends when i raise my cuphappy weekend.

There seem to be quite a few families staying at the DT (I booked there almost a month ago) - is there a plan to meet up the night before the cruise? It would be great to get the party started a little early! (And put faces to the names) And what's this about wine, tequila, martini... tastings? YUMM!

East Coast family here too. Give me pointers if you've done xcountry travel with your kids before!

The last time we took the girls to CA was when they were 2 and 3 years old. We flew Jet Blue, and between the snacks and TV onboard they were pretty happy. We also brought their carseats and strapped them in onboard, which made them feel more like it was a car ride. We're flying Jet Blue again--we use them whenever possible.

I did assign delivery days, with the total understanding that it is okay if you cannot make your day. This is going to be a fun and relaxing cruise. Please don't stress out if you cannot make your day. Just deliver when you can.

Anyone who is joining the meet now, I can add you to a new FE list if you are interested. All new participants will go on that list.

You are a blessed woman, this is what a little girl needs to see growing up so she knows how she should be treated by her husband. This makes him a very good father too. Have a great time...Cheers!

Thanks for all the work you put in for the FE list. I'm starting to compile my goodies now, although there is a bit of a challenge when ages range from babies and toddlers to teens and young adults. Yes, thanks True Romance for the work on the FE list too. I looked at this website, Susiesark, and it made me laugh. I bought a sewing machine with full intention of making my FE. HA! It's never been plugged in. I don't even know how to thread it. So this is what I'll tell everyone who comes to our door.... don't be surprised if there's a bag hanging there!!! I'll try to find one more attractive than a Target or Walmart type bag, but it may just be the bag from the last minute trip to the liquor store, on the way to the port! Real classy huh?!?! I'll think of something!

Here's an idea that is a notch above the plastic shopping bag: I was at Michael's this week and saw a set of 3 small fabric bags, about 4x5 or 5x6, for just a few dollars. You can easily hand stitch or even glue them onto something to create pockets. You can use fabric markers or paint, shoot even Sharpies, to personalize them. They come in a variety of colors. I'm sure you can make a really cute, and inexpensive, FE. Another idea is to use those shoe organizers that have big pockets. I got my 24 pocket shoe organizer at Walmart yesterday for under $6.

I can be such extremes... shopping for the ultimate Manolo Blahnik shoes for a photo shoot, yet I walk around the house with a tee shirt on that I wipe DD's boogers with... she even walks up to me and wipes her nose on my shirt now!! Don't quote this text... I plan on erasing it!!!

We've all been there. I even get it from work.
Lots of picking and eating boogers in my class.

Welcome to everyone! (although I am not a total part of this crazy group yet because life is keeping me from the boards! )I do appreciate that there are only 2-3 pages per day of postings...that is something I can keep up with! On our 08 PC cruise thread...there would be 20-30 pages per day If you didn't log in every few hours you were days behind!

thanks, great ideas... looks like a trip to Michael's is in the works... or I could cut off a few levels of my "over-the door-shoe-organizer" and hang that out there... again, may be too cheesy! Can you just picture it?... this delapidated, hacked up shoe organizer sticking out into the hall for all to view?!?!

On the last cruise...some people just put out decorated shopping bags (the cloth kinds)....so anything that will hold stuff will work! The other thing Dh and I noticed on the dream....one side of the ship had fish on the doors and the other had seahorses....(we had a seahorse)...is that the case with the magic and the wonder too (and I have been oblivious for years?)...or is this something new?

Updated my pic on the dis...since my other one was from 2006~ but, how do I edit/update my info on the website? I can't really do much on FB...although I am there all the time...because I have wondering eyes with both my DDs on as well (this cruise is a surprise for them, they won't find out until 4/15 or 16 depending on if the teachers ruin it for us or not!)

Thanks to Kristi for the huge amount of work co-ordinating everything to do with the FE lists. I'm sure a lot of time went into it.

FE's...I'm still pondering the ebay ones verses making our own eclectic one. I really love the ones on the FE thread. Right now I find it hard to make a decision on all the ones on ebay, so I might go with thinking out of the box, so to speak...stay tunes.

You're welcome everyone. I enjoy doing spreadsheets and organizing. Try to keep my brain active since I stay home with my kids.

I bought my FE from Etsy from a fellow DIS member. I got 4 pockets and I think I paid $35 and that was including shipping. I got to pick all the characters and embroidery. She had a ton to choose from. StitchesnBows is the seller. Here is a photo of ours, I let the kids pick their own character.

Okay, I just got home from the gym and really need to hop in the shower before picking up Isabelle and friend from school (early release day) but I am so excited I needed to stop and share.

The wrist bands arrived today and they are so cute

Here are the pictures. Please excuse my paperclips. I could not get a good photo of the wording, so I had to squish them down. Paperclips were the only idea I could come up with in a hurry.

I have 200 bands, so there are plenty of extras for those who did not order initially. They come in Adult & youth.

We would love to do a group wine tasting and tequilla tasting. That's such a great idea. DH and I are practicing this weekend. We don't want to be slackers!
