Diez (10) Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana/17 de abril 2011 (4.17.11 Wonder!)

We've always used insuremytrip.com. You put in the ages of everyone you are insuring and the quotes you get will take into account that the kids are free under a lot of the plans. Go take a look; quotes are free and you can compare the plans side by side.

When you put in the cost of your trip, try a few different dollar amounts - the prices often are for blocks of coverage. For example (and I'm completely making up these numbers just to help explain): Your trip might cost $3100 and the insurance costs $175 (remember, I'm making this up - I don't remember what we paid last time :)) But if you put in a trip cost of $2990, the insurance might only cost $150. You could also get $3490 worth of insurance for the same $175 as for the $3100, because, in my example, coverage from $3000 to $3499 is going to cost you the same amount, while any amount from $2500 to $2999 will also cost the same (but less than the $3000+). Hope this makes at least a little sense!

For any of you who are USAA members, they sell trip insurance too at pretty good prices.

This might be a stupid question but...when you type in destination would you put Mexico for this trip? I looked at that site and that is what I figured. Meaning they didn't have a "cruise" option. Wondering because for example on our Eastern Caribbean cruise we visited St. Martin, Bahamas etc, so there were several different place. Again, this confuses me.

Not a stupid question at all - I had the same one the first time I got a quote! I ended up calling them - the customer service folks were really helpful. And yes, you just put Mexico for the primary destination. They also ask for your cruise info later in the buying process so they know exactly where you are going.

Thank you.:)

FYI...the ports are showing up under my ressies again. :thumbsup2 They appear to be in the same order I believe.

Crickets....

Where is everyone??? :goodvibes

Hola!! I've been lurking around...

Looks like school has taken over the country. :confused3 I know it's got me by the #$% right now. ;) Just happened to get off early today. :woohoo: The only for sure thing I do everyday is check to see if I have a stateroom assignment!

It's almost 7 months away for us. I was reading somewhere that the PC peeps are starting to do their on-line ressie (120 dayers). I can't wait to read about their adventures to the West Coast since they stop in Manzanillo. :dance3:

I'm here too, I have just been too lazy to post.

Busy with 2 kids in school now and 1 still home with me. I also started a Brownie troop for my daughter, so my extra computer time has been researching badges and crafts. I did create a calendar for our Brownie year and was excited to not schedule a meeting for our vacation.

I am so excited about this cruise I almost forgot my DH and I will be on the 2 day cruise in January on the Wonder. That is almost 4 months away, how crazy is that. I don't have any planning to do for that cruise though, since we have no ports, and we are not planning on doing Palo or any of the extras. I do have to find and book some flights for us.

I keep going back and forth on what to do in PV. Now I would love to do the zip lines.

Good to know you are all with me! :cool1:

I'm very excited but gotta admit, the "looming" final payment is looking scarier and scarier! I have priced other family vacations just to confirm that we're getting a great deal and I have found nothing close to the great price for this cruise. We won't be able to do many excursions, but i'm sure the ship will be plenty fun. :yay:

Did anyone here "Like" the Disney Cruise Line on Facebook? :surfweb: Yesterday they asked about favorites for room service. Is room service FREE? It sounded that way, but I thought that would be too good to be true. A lot of people love the milk and cookies at bedtime. Please tell of your experiences! I am SO going to gain weight on this cruise.

I do confess I forget about Facebook.

Yes, room service is free...except the packaged item like nuts or m&m's and all the bottled or canned drinks/water, beer and wine, they all cost. Did I forget anything? :confused3 Tips are excepted.

Susan,

One of our favorite things to do is to put out the room tag on the door to have Coffee, Juice and bagels delivered in the morning and we use that as our wakeup call. DD has to have something to eat right away and this saves us from hearing how hungry she is while we are getting ready.

We also order a pot of coffee around 10pm of our last night (Along with bagels or cereal and Milk) We put the milk in the cooler and then we have warm coffee the morning of disembarkment (No Room Service is available after Midnight on the last night)

Some evenings we would order the cheese plate or cake of the evening.

We would tip between $2 and $10 depending on how much and when we ordered

Laura

I also remember reading that you can get PB&J uncrustables (grape). Order it the night before a port (frozen).

I'm around as well....counting the days.....=) 214 to go....can't wait...DH is looking for our next cruise already...not sure where or when...lol We did book our flights, so just have to book hotels after cruise for our Disney Land time....=) :cheer2:

And don't forget the Mickey ice cream bars! :woohoo: They aren't on the room service menu either but they'll bring them.

I always bring a stack of single dollar bills for room service. We usually just order little snacks and unless you order something you have to pay for (alcohol, canned soda, etc) you won't get a bill to sign so cash is the only way to tip.

Can't wait to get one. :thumbsup2 But I'll have to do it when JoJo's not around...he has a milk allergy.

Here are some that I've read people have gotten from room service that's not on the actually menu. If anyone know of more to add, please ring in.

Mickey Bars
PB & J – uncrustables (grape)
Mickey Rice Krispies
Steak Fries
Chips and salsa
Yogurt
Chicken wings

No Way! The cookies and Mickey ice cream bars and all that stuff is no charge? Holy cow! I'll have to be doing laps around the ship!:banana::banana:
