Thank you lovingcinderella for the nice sentiment. For the most part, yesterday was just another day. Almost didn't even realize that it was my birthday. The bad news of that was I made it over to my parents house where they gave me my present. They gave me $50 to take on my upcoming trip and last night when I went to the grocery store..... yep, you guessed it. The money fell out of my pocket and I lost it.
You know though, I guess you can't really miss something if you really never had it.
I have been reading on this thread just about everyday and I am noticing a trend. This is a very common trend when it comes to weight loss or really anything else that society puts in front of themselves as a goal. Everyone is disappointed because they figure their weight would come off "faster". We all go through that. It is very common. But there are several factors to look at before you condemn your regime.
1) Remember that muscle weighs more than fat. So if you are working out with weights at all, don't go by the scale totally, go by the way your pants and shirts are fitting you. That is the true tell.
2) Check what you are doing. After a while it will be time to up the intensity level in anything that you do. If you stay at the same level throughout the whole program, your body gets use to it and there won't be any changes.
3) Make sure you are striving to be healthy, not just thin. Are you taking a good multi-vitamin everyday? Are you staying away from the detrimental foods such as fried foods, sweets and breads? Are you eating within 3 hours of going to bed? Are you trying to do something on a regular basis to increase your heart rate so you can be heart healthy?
Use that as a checklist and compare. See if that helps.
We are all in this together
. I know personally there is NO one I would rather spend time with than someone who trys to take care of themselves
.
Everyone have a great day. It is the beginning of a new week so lets make it the best one yet and take charge of our lives.
