Did anyone else hear this on ABC news? (sorry if already discussed!)
Many of us seem to be (somewhat) addicted, judging by the excitement when its on sale!
Actually, the study is ALL diet soda but Diet Coke is the most popular.
What do y'all think? Will you now drink less? Its my fave too and I don't want to believe it!!
Per this study -
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/HeartHealth/diet-soda-linked-heart-attack-stroke-risk/story?id=12868269
"According to a study of more than 2,500 people presented today as a poster at the American Stroke Association International Stroke Conference in Los Angeles, people who drank diet soda daily had a 61 percent increased risk of cardiovascular events compared to those who drank no soda, even when accounting for smoking, physical activity, alcohol consumption and calories consumed per day. "
There will be a lot of conversation on this one. The beverage industry is not happy.
