Hi all. I am a die hard Patriots and Bruins fan and will be in WDW 12/10-15. During my stay, both of my teams will be playing. Is there any place on property or off that anyone would recomend that not only carries the games, :happytv: but would also have knowledge-able sports fans (of any team)?

I'm staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. I've heard good things about the lounge there, but was seeing if I had a better guarantee.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I highly recommend ESPN at the Boardwalk. We are DVC owners at Boardwalk and spend most of our Disney vacations at this location and are avid Boston sports fans thus lots of nights at ESPN. One of our best memories ever was during the 2004 ALCS....it was sooo exciting to share it with so many fans!!Watched the Patriots/Titans snow game there last year!!

Same here. As a matter of fact; my DH is a season ticket holder to the Patriots but he will miss one game while we are away in December. We tried the ESPN once (Oct 2009 during F&W). It was a 1:00 game and by 12:00 there were no seats left. So...get there EARLY. People will stay there for hours eating apps, drinking and watching the games. When you ask for a seat, be sure to tell them what game you want to watch so they can put you near a tv that is playing that game.

We didn't have a rental car but one of the boat captain's suggested a Friday's off property. I guess it is 3 floors. That is an option as well.

Have fun!!

Yeah, ESPN @ Boardwalk is probably the best bet on property...

There are lots of places off-property (just a short taxi ride from Downtown Disney)... such as Hooters.

Hope you enjoy your visit!

We always go to ESPN if it's during football season. Our Sunday plan for this trip is the Sweet Sunday Brunch at Epcot, head over to ESPN to watch my beloved Steelers beat up that Cleveland team then home to dress for MNSSHP. ESPN does get busy though, so you want to get there early to get a seat.

Celebration Town Tavern prides itself on being the local Patriots (and Red Sox) headquarters. If you can get off property, worth the drive.

Other off-property options include the Alehouse or Buffalo Wild Wings (by December, should be one of each on both 535 and 192). Also crowded on Sundays, but not to the same level as ESPN.

BTW, ccgirl, the 3-story Fridays Front Row shut down earlier this year.

We tried to get into ESPN last year to watch an important Jets game and the line was out the door - couldn't even get into the bar to get a beer. They had it telcast outside on a big screen but that's not fun. So we went to Big River Brewing and were able to get into the bar there to watch. Better beer, too, and tons of rowdy fans to make it interesting! Most of the hotel lounges also televise important games - we like the Crews Cup in the Yacht Club.

Some of our group went to the sports bar at SoG and had a great time. I'm pretty sure it's open to anyone. However, I think my bf at the time preferred ESPN.
