My brothers family is joining us on our first trip "home" in October! They will be coming by train(not the auto train)....any idea which station thy should disembark and also whether there are any rental car fascilities near the station?

Couldn't get any info from Amtrak!

I have taken the Amtrak from Michigan to Orlando once when we lived near Clearwater.

At the time, it was a pretty nice station. An older Florida style building that looks like something you would see near St. Augustine.

I think the station actually sits near Altamonte Springs. I believe there was a rental car desk there.

It says the station is staffed at these times.

It does not mention anything about a rental car desk.

Amee I believe the closest station to WDW is Kissame. DW, DS and I took regular amtrak last november. We dissembarked at Kissame. The Conductor told us it was closer then regular orlando. The only drawback is in your case no rent a car desk at that station. Good luck.
