Did your MB fall off?

Though back in the fall I saw people mentioning a slide they were given to keep them on. Do they still do this? Do you find the kids lose theirs?

Mine fell off several times but only when I picked up my grandchild. I didn't have a slide.

I have used the same MB for three trips now, totaling 22 days and running in the half and full marathons. I have not had it fall off once. I check it every time I put on or take off my backpack as it tends to snag when doing things like that, but so far I have been fortunate.

I also take it off several times/day as I cannot sleep or shower with something on my wrist, so the connecting holes and pegs have seen some wear & tear, but still hold firmly.

We've used Magic Bands at least 7 times in all types of weather and never had one fall off.

DH ran a half marathon in one. We've gone to the waterparks with them. No problems.

The only time mine has fallen off has been when picking up my son. My husband and son have never had any problems. Mine has never fallen off at any other time, just when picking up my kid.

I would also be careful when putting on/taking off jackets. That is when I tend to lose my fitbit, which has a similar band.

I'll have to be extra careful taking off/putting on my heavy camera backpack.

Thanks for the heads up, everyone

Never had any problems with our MB's....they gave us band keepers our first trip .... with the year....this trip MB's keepers say Passholders ....very useful item to keep band tab from pulling up...

Can you buy them? I wonder if it may be worth throwing a few small rubber bands into our luggage to take with us.

We wore ours for 14 days straight.......DH 24/7 including in the shower, pulling coats on and off and neither of ours never fell off. We didn't have the sliders.

10 days never fell off, even our 4 year old kept it on. The little "jibits" did fall off though.

My DD's and a friend's both fell off on Rockin Roller Coaster. Popped off with pull down thingy as it rubbed their arms. DD's fell into vehicle and operator found it and yelled her name (that is inside MB...so it's not a good idea to have them put Mom or Dad or something cute like Ariel or Buzz) and gave it back to her. Friend's fell into the dark recesses of the ride never to be seen again...he had to get a replacement to use the rest of the trip (I want to say they gave him a card instead). This was Dec...we didn't have the slide thing (hopefully next MBs will).

What is the slide thingy people are talking about? I have APs and 3 sets of MBs, but zero slides, AP styled or otherwise. Do I not get them until check-in?

DH is the keeper of the backpack. The MB kept getting caught when taking it off and on. He lost his MB one day in Epcot. Other than that, none of the rest of us ever had a problem.

FWIW, it took just a few minutes at Guest Services at Epcot to get a replacement.

No problem at all with any falling off even while swimming. No sliders used.

My oldest DS lost his in the Poly pool. (It was recovered there which is how we know!)

We found a recommendation on FB to purchase Bitbelts to keep our Magic Bands from falling off. We have not tried them yet. If you're interested, you can look up the product online.
