Our polls opened at 6:30 and I got in line at 6:28. I was about 50th. this is a rural area. They were amazingly efficient in getting us signed in and I was finished in 20 minutes!

How about you?

Polls opened at 6 - I got there at 6:30 and drove away at 7:15. About a 40 minute wait - wish I had brought a sweatshirt, it was chilly this morning.

Just voted.....I don't get it.

I have never waited to vote.....I don't understand it. I wonder if we have more polling booths here....or less people.
I seriously was out in 5 minutes....after saying hello to my DH's cousin.

Anyone have an idea why some places have long lines....and here we just literally walk in.:confused3

My poll is only a block away, I went there at 7:30 and there were about 200 people in line:scared1: So I came home and will go back during the day.

Polls opened at 7am, we got there at 6:30 with about 50 people ahead of us. We got out of there sometime around 7:20 or so.

Our county went from touchscreen to optical scanners, so it's probably one reason why it went a tad slower, but I much prefer the optical scanners!

I got there at 5:40am, there were about 30 people there. I was in by 7:05, out by 7:20am. The line by then was wrapped around the building.

Normally, when I go vote, I am usually outnumbered by poll workers. Today was the first time ever I waited in line to vote. Probably about 20 minutes or so.

I voted last wednesday. It was just me and about 10 poll workers.

I haven't gone yet but in our tiny town (under 5000 total people) there is never a line to vote. Just go in, fill in your little circle, and go out.

Only 30 people and it took an hour and a half for you
I'm going late morning. I figure most voters will be going right before or after work so I should be good around 10:30-11:00

My husband has been gone a little over two hours. I'm definitely going to take a book with me when I go.

Our poles opened at 7. I got there at 7:20 and was back in the car by 7:33. There were about 40 people in front of me. I can only imagine what the lines will be like later today.

Voted!:thumbsup2

Polls opened at 6am, we got in line at 5:45. Took us 55 mins.

Interesting, we filled it out in a special felt tip pen. Filled in the circles.

I have not voted yet, my DH and I always try to go together. I am not looking forward to the lines this evening.

Husband just got home. The line was about 2 hours long. I think I'll wait a bit and then go.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. I got in line at 6:40, same as every other election. I was number 70 - last Presidential election I was number 13.

We only had 8 items on our ballot:

Pres/VP
State Attorney General
State Treasurer
State Auditor General
Rep to the US House
Rep to the PA State Senate
Rep to the PA State House
One Referendum

I voted for 2 Republicans, 1 Libertarian, 4 Democrats and the Referendum.

Just back.Walked right in.NO wait. But they are showing the big polling places in my area and they are at least 20min to 30 min waits.

I am waiting until the work crowd dies down...probably will head over there about 10 am. DH was in line at 6:30 and was one of the first ones, but he said by the time the polls opened at 7:00 there were about 50 people in line.

He just called at 7:25 am and said the machines are not working, so he still has not been able to vote and there are now about 100 people in line. He said the machines keep beeping and the crew of senior citizens working the precinct are just standing around it saying, "Stop!" :rotfl: Could be a looooong wait for me today! I'll have to bring coloring books to keep my 4yo twins occupied since they'll be with me.

6:30 this morning there were 3 people in front of me - probably took 10 minutes.

Im in Virginia and polls opened at 6:00 am.

Left the house at around 6:05 and was back before 7:00. There were a lot of people there this morning. The line did snake around the building but things seemed to be moving really quick. The only bad thing was that it was raining:scared1:
