I did know about the tongue on the roof of mouth one for brain freeze, as DH gets those a lot. I've never had one, he says it's because I don't have a brain.

I'll have to try the deoderant on a misquito bite and see if it works.

Tongue works, but it is slower than rubbing your thumb on the roof of your mouth fast enough to build some heat friction. Pushing with your thumb when not rubbing also alleviates some of the pain.

I wonder if by "deodorant" they actually mean antiperspirant. Antiperspirant basically clogs up the pores to prevent sweat and I can see where that might give some relief. I would think deodorant would just make your fingers smell better when you scratch it.

Save time at the grocery store by shopping early in the week: Mondays and Tuesdays are known to be the least busy shopping days (and therefore have the shortest checkout lines).

...and know your bread products color codes for the colored plastic tags or tie wraps. Bread is never baked on Wednesday and Sunday, and the other days are coded with the colors in alphabetical order starting with Monday:

Baked on...
Monday: Blue
Tuesday: Green
Thursday: Red
Friday: White
Saturday: Yellow

It can save time vs hunting for dates on the bags.
