This makes no sense to me because they are penalizing me for staying longer.

See if it make sense to you. We are checking in on Sept. 27th, with the 180 + 10 rule they are taking reservations until October 16th, however and here comes the twist. Because I am checking in on the 27th of September the last reservation they could take for me was for October 7th. September 27th plus 10 days. I spent twenty minutes talking to a cast member about it and trying to talk to a supervisor who would not come to the phone to try to understand this twist to the rule. Well needless to say I called back and talk to another cast member about it, who at first agreed with me, but then after checking again she said the first cast member gave me the right info.

It is no big deal I will call back in two days but thought it was an interesting fact for all you to know. I would understand the rule if I was calling 180 + 10 exactly but it is way past that point.

The rule is right. They are not penalizing you at all. You probably have reservations that have to booked 180 days out. (Downtown Disney eateries.) Just to let you know. Everyone has to abide by these rules. You are not being picked on.

I don't get it b/c now the reservations are open for people staying on property starting 10/6/08. So they can book for up to 10 days so they could possibly book up until 10/16/08. It makes sense to me but of course I'm not a CM on the phone.

+10 is a perk only for those that are staying on site.

So those that are staying off site and booking their reservations for 10/6 can only book their reservations for 10/6. If they want reservations for 10/7 - then they'll have to call back tomorrow for 10/7.

I don't think the OP is staying offsite.

perhaps becuase you can only book +10 after your check in date and the remaining days must be done one day at a time...:confused3

We are staying onsite. It does not make sense. If the policy is correct it means as of today; that a person that arrives on october 6th can make reservations until the 16th, but I, eventhough am arriving september 27th can only make reservations until October 7th. There is no logic to it, unless they figure I got what I wanted the firts ten days and should let someone else to get in their reservations.
