What about the one where a teacher is taking her school to court for 1 million pounds. She said that she had to leave due to her chair making trumping sounds everytime she sat down. She had asked for a new one but her request was not granted so due to the embarassment caused she left.
It was on the radio as I was driving to work this morning. I think she was based at a school in Wales

wow! Emma, how bizarre! she should be glad she didn't teach at my school where we'd often put whooppee cushions on the teachers chairs, with that and our little game of inching all the desks back every time the teacher would turn their backs, she'd have had a nervous breakdown

That is so stupid..maybe the school thought buying text books, computers was a better use of their budget.

You do wonder about some people!

Saying that you should hear the saga of what's going on in my family! My grandad died last year and we're just about done with sorting the estate. There's one bloke (an old "friend" of my grandad's) who's had money left to him and since he died back in May, this bloke has been trying everything to get hold of the cash early! He started off just demanding it from the solicitors, then he told the inland revenue we were evading paying some stuff out on the house (they investigated and found it was all above board), then he told the inland revenue my uncle had spent all this mysterious missing money on prostitutes (what!?!?!?!) Now he's trying to get a court injuction to make us pay him his cash early. He's sure been giving us all a good laugh this last year - makes us wonder what he'll try next!

I'm just wondering why she didn't go to the nearest empty chair and swap it over - or is that taking the initiative to extremes ??

I'll bet the children in her class looked forward to school - I'm sure there was a fair amount of giggling going on
