I just had a conversation about this with my students and several of them had imaginary friends when they were younger. It was funny to hear the names they had and what happened to them.
Anyone here ever have one??

My DD used to pretend that her arm was Minnie Mouse!!

I did also! His name was Ron, very close to my name and he was my "brother" because I wanted one so badly!

I must have been missing out. I never had one.

My son had more than I can remember. The ones that come to mind are Loody, Pinky, Toody, and the Talking Doggie. :teeth: We also had an Eye Guy that lived under the bed, but he wasn't a friend!

I had an imaginary kangaroo that I tied up outside of class every morning and let loose every afternoon. I don't remember if I had an imaginary friend, but I bet I did.

My oldest one had one for the longest time, his name was David and for a while I really thought she was seeing a ghost, she made me give her two drinks because David was thirsty too and one day she was watching TV and I went to sit down on the couch, she yelled at meNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO , scared the living heck out of me and told me not there because David was sitting there and I would crush him.
After a while I guess David went away but to this day we still joke about it. She sure had me freaked for a while , besides this kid is so into America's scariest houses and ghost stories....I think she sees something I don't, LOL.

Groosch! I didn't but....Mrs. G did....

their names were...."lampshade" and "golf club"

BaWhAHAHahaaaaa!!!!

if you never hear ferm me again...yer'll knoe Mrs G saw this thread!

:teeth:

I dont think I did, but DS did. Well, actually he had a whole gang. It started out with Julie, then Ink & Ook, and finally along came Ike, Michael and Mike. DS is now 6 and we dont hear from them much anymore. :( ;)

So funny...

I never had one, but my DD (16) had one when she was little, except she named it "TWO FRIENDS" but it was only ONE imaginary friend. Totally confusing...

Don't know if I ever had one, never heard my Mom say, but my DD (now 6) used to have two dogs names Nicky & Licky. They went everywhere with us. We have video of her talking to them when we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC.

My nephew (21 next month) had a friend named Elfie. I need to remind him of that next time I see him.

Mskanga...that was me when I was little. I had a twin named Mindy who traveled the world. She started as a baby, which my Dad would hold and rock and then became my twin. Whenever a glass broke or milk spilled, Mindy was in town and she did it.;)

My Mom thought I was nuts, but my Dad just went along with the whole thing.

Yep. I'm told her name was Nudie! I'm not sure if it's true, or if it's an evil fabrication by my mother.

I never did, but my DD, almost 14, did. I used to read the Dr. Seuss ABC book to her all the time and from the "four fluffy feathers on a fiffer, feffer, fiff", she found Fiffy Divick. Fiffy was 16, lived in California and rode her bike to Pennsylvania all the time to play with my daughter. LOL!!!

I had a flying dog named Charlie (kinda resmbles the one in the Never Ending Story). My daughter has several that come and go...1st is Suzie, she is a big time trouble maker and is always in and out of the hospital. One time I hid a $20 bill and asked her if she knew what happened to it....SUZIE did it, she didn't even question where it was or anything.

Now Suzie is still around but we also have Roger and Nicholas!!!

She can't be mine i only make believe dogs!!!;) :p

I didn't but my DB did...their names were Butch and Joey...I'm going to e-mail him and remind him....

LOL

No, I don't think I did. My sis and I are so close in age that I always had a real playmate growing up. We did, however, spend hours playing various bizare "let's pretend" games!

I had one when I was a kid. His name was Stephen (also turned out the be the name of my fist boyfriend). Prob because I was an only child and we lived in a very rural area. My grandparents would humor me. my grandfather would get up if he sat on him and once we accidentally left Stephen behind and had to go back and get him. My grandfather was the greatest.

Caitlyn had "Ghosty"... she says the he is a Ghost that is funny = Ghosty.

I really like Ghosty... that have a lot of fun together, and I have convinced Caitlyn that Ghosty won't play with her if her room is a mess. Caitlyn also thinks that her nose really grows if she tells a lie.
