Did you have a nickname as a kid??

When I was a child my mother started calling me Patch. She still does. My friends now call me PK which stands for both my initials and the term "psycho kenetic".

i called my brother "****ie" when we were very little (we're 1 year, 10 months apart), but my dad made me quit it when i was about 5-6, so i've called him "brother" ever since. after i was grown, my grandfather called me by my middle name, "khristi". he then began to call me "christopher", then "christopher jones", then finally, i became "jonesy" and that stuck. he called me jonesy until he died 6 years ago, and i'd give ANYTHING to hear it one more time. he called my daughter "twinkle toes", which he shortened to "twinks", and she was twinks until his dying day.

ETA: sorry, if forgot about the filter.

My dad always called me Skinny Minnie. The rest of the family calls me Mimi which is what I called myself when I was little. My younger sister (Susie) is still called Tootie by the family because that's what she called herself. :lmao: I like Mimi better. My older sister will always be known as Sissy.

Yep, I still get called JD or HooHoo by those that called me that when I was a kid. There is no doubt who they are talking to when they call me either of those.

And there are those that still call me by my middle name, as I went by that all through grade school, seeing as Jennifers were a dime a dozen.

Dorma, Kitty and Dolly Dimples.

I know Dolly Dimples was a popular doll years ago(and still is to antique collectors) but I have no idea what's behind the other names. :confused3

a lot of my family called me emmy. i don't like it though.

my initials were e.j., so my mom started calling me e.j. then, she ran it all together "eej," which has stuck. she still calls me that. my sister sometimes calls me that too.

dd8 has had several nicknames. the one that has stuck through the years is monkey. ds5 gets called "e-man," even though his name does not start with an e.

I had a few.. my parents rotated between Ash, Smashley, Smash and Smash Attack. My mom still calls me Smash occasionally. Everyone who knows me pretty well calls me Ash.

My grandma has called me Toots since the day I was born, and still does. :thumbsup2

My dad on occasion will call me Kimblebee. My mom calls me pet.

I was Caity Lady to my grandparents, one of my grandmothers still calls me that. And my sister couldn't say my name when she was a baby so I was "kiki" to her growing up.

In HS I was Snowball or Snowflake or Snow White or just Snow(my last name has 'snow' in it) None of those really stuck though hahaha, I don't think I have a nickname right now, my sister calls me Kiki still sometimes...and for some reason my BF calls me that too occasionally, that or Caity.

I was always Olive Oil or Little Linda...My sis though was called Chabaukha...From star wars...:confused3

I was always Olive Oil or Little Linda...My sis though was called Chabaukha...From star wars...:confused3

My kitten's name is Chewbacca... we call him CHEWY!!

My nickname was Butter, my sister called me Butter and my sister Peanut... Peanut Butter....

That was because she was SOOOO skinny and I was short and ROUND!!

Well, my big sister STILL calls me Butter (NEVER called me Robin a day in my life) and my other sister, who is not bigger than ME, lost that Peanut YEARS ago!! :lmao:

My nickname is Mitch -my dad, aunts, uncles and cousins call me that. I don't know where it came from. My dh has called me Chell since we started dating and my sisters and my sister inlaw calls me that as well.

My kids all have nicknames - my oldest is Bubba (he's big like a bubba should be!)
My middle is Boo or boo-boo (he fell a lot as a toddler!!)
My baby is Jella-bell or belly-bell or Bell.

Gee, I've had so many...

Pinochi-nose - My nose was (still is) too big for my face.

Tiny - Some school friends still call me that.

Chubby Checkers - Hated that one.

Mandoles- Friends/some family
Mickey-g One friend only
Bub- Best friend
Punk- mom
Punkin- mom
Trouble-Boys football coach, After he found out that I tackled a few of his best players during gym class
:confused3

Nicknames... Where do I start?

My first Robin- so I got the Robin Hood. Later I got Rockin' Robin (I actually like that one)
I used to get so mad when kids would sign "Jingle bells, batman smells. Robin laid an egg."
My maiden name- Salisbury.. Yes, like the steak! drove me crazy.

Plus I was skinny.. I got bones, sticks, twiggy.

I like my nicknames now: Honey (from my hubby) and Mom (from my daughter)

:cutie:

When I was little my godmother got me a dress which made me look like a pilgrim, ergo I became "Hester the Pilgrim." My dad tried resurecting it when the nephews were little, telling them Aunt Hester would get it. Suffice to say, I made it clear that would not fly. :lmao::lmao:

My family called me Mo-Mo because when they took me home from the hospital after I was born the first thing my 1 1/2 year old sister said was "Hi Mo-Mo!", even though she knew I was being named Rebecca.

Parents and brothers called me Nette, Netteness, Nette-ibus, or Netty.

Gymnastics coach called me Jet for as long as I knew him... Somehow, the people at college picked that one up (they did not know the gym coach as that was long over by then) and I am still Jet to many of my fellow grads. It does get confusing because DH calls me Jet on occasion and my aunt calls my mom Jet (though she spells it Gette).

I was called Barbie, Babs, and Barba..they still call me these names..not very original since my name is Barbaralynn.

Chick. Apparently when I was born I looked like a chicken, so everyone called me chicken and over the years it has gotten shortened to Chick. Most people call me that. I don't think twice about it until we're out in public and someone yells out Chick, and I answer, then get very weird looks from strangers.

My brothers nickname is Buddy. His name is Billy (officially William), but when he came home from the hospital I couldn't say that and I called him Buddy. My family calls him Bud, Buddy, or Wilbur.

Oh and one of my aunts calls me Peep. She gave us all nicknames, but mine is really the only one that stuck.
