Did you give a or get a Valentines Day gift?

We actually didn't start exchanging gifts until last year. Today happens to be my late father's B-day so I think he started it as a pick me up last year. I am in a funk today, but shiny things make me smile so it's our thing now.

I love Dollar Tree cards!!!

I also sent my mother 2 dozen assorted roses for $37 .... she sent me pictures... they are gorgeous. 1800Flowers to the rescue!
I do too! These were extra nice ones too. Not in the regular racks but in a stand up display. Nicer than some of the one at other stores selling for over $6

My husband brought chocolates home for myself and our girls. Poor man, I fussed at him(good naturedly, of course) for bringing chocolate home on Ash Wednesday. He came home from work early today because it is his father's birthday today and he passed away last month. We were both surprised that his boss told him to take the day. He is generally a horrible boss! I will gladly sit down tomorrow and share my lovely box of chocolate with my dear man :)

I sent my son who is at college a card with a gift card plus cookies. My DD got a card, gift card and candy plus I decorated her bedroom door with hearts and wrote on each one something good about her. She loved it.

I gave my husband candy and an autographed copy of a book he wanted. It was supposed to be a christmas gift but it didn't arrive until last week so it became a valentines day gift.

My husband gave me a card and candy. My DD made me a card.

Pretty much a perfect day. Got the kids mittens with hearts on them, small pack heart shaped jelly beans and small box Hershey Kisses.

They gave me and dh handmade cards. They gave each other cards.

I gave dh a maroon dotted tie, socks and Godiva chocolate (teeny, tiny box).

Dh got me an enormous box of chocolate. 106 pieces! I’ll eat one a day!

We had ice cream cake for snack after homeschool and had heart shaped pizza for dinner while watching the movie Wonder.

Perfect day.

Not this year. We usually go out to eat but DH has flu and it's Lent.

I hit like but should be sympathy. We had flu over thanksgiving so I get it.

DH gave me a card with an invitation to lunch and a movie on Monday when we both have a day off. I gave him a card with his favorite chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate. We're also going out for

Same thing her we both have a Friday off so dinner & maybe some dancing:P

Sent my wife a dozen roses as we are not together this year. She has to be away for work.

Dh and I took some "us" time and ordered a composting toilet for our camp.
I know you guys are jealous of how romantic we are.
I don’t know. We’re buying each other a Zoning System for our AC WITH smart thermostats. :rotfl:

We don’t exchange, just never have.

I got my kids gifts and some fancy candy.

I got 2 dozen long stem red roses, truffles, and choc. covered strawberries. DH really made me feel special.

We gave DD a barbie doll, flowers and candy, and DH got a card and chocolates.

Omg composting!! What could be more romantic ❤️❤️

I took care of the ordering, I think I will leave the composting to him ;)

Oooo smart thermostats, sounds like a hot date night

Yes and Yes!

I gave DH one of those new Bottlekeepers & had it engraved w/ "Dilly Dilly!" & his monogram. He gave me a Cricut machine w/ some supplies. We also got each other cards.

From us, the kids each got 2 books, a box of candy, & a lid for their Yeti cups. DD also got a nail polish kit, older DS got a LEGO stop motion kit, & younger DS got a stuffed animal kit.

Additionally, DH gave DD a necklace and earrings set.

We grilled steaks for dinner tonight, & DH & I will got out together this weekend.

My dad always gets me something for Valentine's Day as well, &, this year, he gave me a silver necklace w/ a heart charm.

We got each set of our parents (the kids' grandparents) some chocolate covered strawberries & a bouquet of red tulips. Our parents always give our kids treats for Valentine's Day too.

Nope, don't in general celebrate the holiday. This year for the first time in 20 years I have been casually dating someone but no valentines date. Heck after our last date I am not even sure their will be another. Dating SUCKS!

My daughter and I went with my mom to my step-dads gravesite. He passed 1.5 years ago. Then we took her to lunch. DH surprised me with a beautiful custom necklace. A palm tree with the kids birthstones. Wish I knew how to post a pic.

DH gave me a heart shaped box of chocolates and took me to dinner. But it’s WHERE he took me to dinner that was so special. He took me an hour and 15 minutes away from home to have dinner with him and our son at DS’s university. DS is a 3rd year in college. It was a total wonderful surprise!

He also sent DD, who is a freshman at a university 3.5 hours away, a big batch of Insomnia Cookies for V Day. He is definitely a keeper!
