Did you get your date?

I dont know what it is with me lately... i've been feeling more and more like a bridezilla and I don't like it! :guilty: I really want that date because it works well with everyones schedules and we are planning on having a home reception columbus day weekend at our house. I'd be willing to change the time but not so much on the location... I just LOVE SBP! If I had to change it i'd move it to the WP but i'd rather keep it at SBP and save the $$.

Thank you all for understand my neurotic, OCD, bridezilla-esque questions lately! :grouphug:

edit: I also booked randy... :scared: I knew i wanted him to do our wedding so i booked him really far in advanced... He said he's pretty flexible with disney brides because he knows how booking works but i home that doesn't cause and issue! :scared:
this is something I have never thought of...I am way more attached to my date and not at all attached to the time or location, so all might be well for me after all

I didn't have to actually ring on the 8 month mark. My planner just booked it as she was aware of the time, date and location I wanted.

so you dont actually have to wait until 8mths out to call and be the first person on the phone...you can get a WP before and set it up and they will book the date for you as long as they have the information?

I didnt get my original date. I wanted Monday January 11th and was pretty much assured by my planner at the time that I would get it. Then 8 months rolls around and my day is booked, even the 12th my back up day was booked so i had to go with the 13th.

I've stressed about this too. I was told at the year out mark that we provisionally have our date. I then asked our co-ordinator how likely it was that we would be moved and she said it was more unlikely than likely! But my wedding is the same day as Nadders - 28th April which is a wednesday. If it was a peak time like a saturday I may have been told something different. U should ask your co-ordinator what they think. I've advised my guests not to book flights or accom until we've signed our contract which is next month. But I have gone ahead and booked our photographer but I'm waiting until that contract is in my hand before I do much else :)

I hate that escape brides can't book until 8 months out! Believe me if we had the money we'd do a wishes wedding just so we could book at the one year mark!

I wonder if at the one year mark I could call my WC and ask her if a wishes bride already booked my date, time, and location. Atleast that way i can start looking at another possible date.

They'll let you know. The planner I spoke with told me that another bride already had my date, but the first time slot. He told me I could call and check just to make sure, but I'm not doing that or else I will be inclined to call everyday. :rotfl2:

:lmao: Its probably not a good thing that I know this... I'm going to have to put a block on my phone so i can't called them everyday!

Oh so you dont need to call then? thats awesome! I thought it was kind of like first person who calls gets in first! Thanks for the info!:thumbsup2

I don't think it is the first person who call's anyway as otherwise they'd never do a lottery, I think they must leave it open the whole day and then at the end of the day do the lottery if needed, but as most brides get in touch beforehand you should already have a pretty good idea if it is going to be a problem or not.

Yes that is correct.

I was told a Wishes Bride already had my slot 2.30pm so I switched to 12.00, after i'd booked and got my WC I mentioned that i'd have prefered the later slot, she checked and the Wishes Bride had not signed her contract and I was able to switch to 2.30pm.

Right now this is the MOST stressful bit of the whole thing! Roll on 10/2/10 so I can know it is all done and I will know one way or the other. I just hope with my Day being a Sunday (and BAck up being Tuesday) that, since I am flexible with time, that it'll be OK.

Oh, and Nadine (Nadders), you are literally just down the road from me in UK - I worked in Enfield until I gave up to be a SAHM!
