Did you get sick at 1900 Park Fare?

I have been reading many references to people who became ill after eating at 1900 Park Fare. I have a ps for this restaurant on Christmas morning. Being a little germ phobic to begin with, I am not sure if I want to keep this ps or consider eating somewhere else. I know there are germs everywhere, and all the other arguments that will come. I am just wondering about this restaurant in particular, because there have been so many posts about illness following dining here.

I do bring hand sanitizer everywhere.

Hi,

We eat at this place on every trip for breakfast and I have a sensative stomach and we have never gotten sick after eating here.

The fresh made to order omlet bar is great and the food is always plenty and hot.

We ate dinner there Nov 3 & I did get sick the next morning, but do not attribute it to the food but rather to a GI virus & possibly a change in the water. Please go & have a great time!! We'd go again in a heartbeat!

Have eaten there several times, never been sick. The breakfast buffet there was the best quality I've enjoyed on-site.

We've eaten there many times and never had a problem. We've never gotten sick after eating at any of the Disney restaurants. I think sometimes people get sick for a different reason and then blame it on whatever they ate last.

Thanks. I read the newspaper article about the salmonella veggies, and some posts about people getting sick after eating here, and got a little paranoid.

You're right, there was a very long thread on this restaurant. I am leary of buffets and staying away from this one.

We didn't get sick. I think that some people go overboard. I have been to the world 6 times and I have never gotten any type of stomch bug. Some people may have have touchy systems and get sick often. I think the food here is great and some of the best I have eveer had at WDW. :jester: I don't think it is so much the food as maybe a virus that is being passed around.

My DH and I really enjoyed the food here. We thought it was much better than the Contemp Buffet!

Since I've been ill twice at WDW I will no longer eat at buffets. I never overindulged. Just picked up something I suppose even though I am meticulous with hand washing and not touching my face. After reading the other thread I will stick to table service only. At least I know it is only a couple of people handling food utensils as opposed to a whole restaurant. I've noticed on the last few trips how many people don't actually wash their hands after coming out of the bathroom. I certainly don't want to handle the same serving spoons/forks that they do. YUCK. :(
