Here's an example of what I mean. It happened to my mom, not me.

She bought an older, maybe antique, jewelry box at a yard sale for $5.

She took it home to clean it and lifted out a tray. She found what looked to be about four ounces of cocaine and about 10 joints!

Even if I could think of something, it couldn't top that one. :teeth:

I can't beat it either, but my dad once found a $20 bill in the one of the freezers of ice cream at the grocery store.

Whoa, that's not funny. Throw that junk away...... I hope she paid cash (and not by check). The poor fool that no longer has it will be mad............it's good that it fell into her hands; the fool that lost it shouldn't be dulling his brain. He/She may not have that much to dull!

She did.... she was contemplating calling the police but I convinced her not to. It was a community yard sale and she wouldn't even know who sold it to her.

yep - love, at the grocery store!!

(I know that doesn't top the coke story!)

Nothing will top the drug story, but I fould love on a spur-of-the-moment trip for my friend to see her boyfriend. We will have been married 11 years in August

Bought a used car and found about 50 porn mags in the trunk under the mat that covered the spare tire. Some dude or kid really didn't want mama to find those things.

That's one heck of a yard sale! I never find unexpected stuff like that.

Years ago, probably 1991, we were living in NJ. We rented a movie from a local video store. They were in BIG boxes and the VHS would slide in from the bottom. We rented and watched the movie and when I went to slide the movie back into the box, I noticed something was in the way..........stuck really far up there. I couldn't reach it with my hand so I grabbed a butter knife and started to poke around. I caught the end of the sandwich bag and tugged.........out falls a bag of marjuana!! :earseek: I wanted to call the cops but DH felt it best just to flush the contents.

see what happens to ya when you do drugs!!! you lose track of your stash!!! :rotfl2:

This one is kinda gross. While shopping in Meiers one evening I was looking to get an insulated bottle for DS to use at football practice. As I was opening them up and checking them out, I came across one that was full of...urine!   I will spare you further details.

Thanks for the laugh! :rotfl2:

when we bought our house back in '99 we were doing some cleaning before moving in, my wife was up on a chair wiping out the kitchen cabinets, she opened a cabined door and got a strange look on her face, she found a large bag full of a white powdery substance and a pack of razor blades...we called the State police, which I'm sure had our new neighbors wondering, when 2 state troopers came knocking at our door before we had even moved in...

they told us the former owner was a regular friend of the police, lengthy record...
they took the razor blades and the bag to test the substance.. I asked what the odds were that the guy would come back looking for his stuff...they said not to worry, because he was currently in county prison and they were going to pay him a visit and tell him they had his stuff.., and that if he came anywhere near our house they would be all over him...it turned out to be a common cutting agent, so he was apparently dealing coke at some point in time..

we then did a very thorough search of the house before moving in and found a few needles, but that was it...

Ok confess, you convinced her not to call the police so you could keep it...LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My roomate back in college went to see her mom at the hotel b/c she was visiting. Well the toilet paper either needed to be replaced or she knocked it off the wall hanger thing. Anyway inside she found a joint. Sweet the maids are getting high while they clean the rooms!

Oh, forgot this one. When we stayed at Days Suites in Kissimmee back in 1997, the kids had gotten a little bouncy one evening and were jumping on the bed. They shook the frame loose and the mattress hit the floor. DH is mechanically inclined and never goes anywhere without tools so he headed outside to the van and grabbed whatever he needed and put the screws back into the frame. As he lifted the mattress, we came across a wide assortment of adult oriented magazines under it!!!!!!!!! I imagine that housekeeping had them stashed there. We disposed of them and wondered later what they thought when they came looking for them again! :rolleyes1
