When the Warner Brothers Stores were shutting down, my ex husband and I purchased some of their items for his store (a statue case, the watch cases, shelving, etc.). The thing I was in love with was the cash wrap. We needed a new one in out store, and this thing was gorgeous! So, it took us several hours to load everything up and get it to our store, which was over an hour away from the WB Store. When we got it there, we noticed that the drop box safe in the cash wrap was locked. We called the manager and he said they'd mail us the keys the next day, after the store was officially closed. We waited, and waited, and waited...nothing.
Finally, about about 3 months worth of waiting, I called the number again, and it was disconnected. I called a locksmith and asked him to come and make a new lock so we could use the safe. He came, opened the safe and said, "Here, you left this inside." while handing us a blue bank deposit bag. It was HEAVY. I waited until my ex got back to the store, and we opened it...$500 in cash was inside! The receipt in the bag indicated it was the money the WB was using as change for their register at that cash wrap. We called every number we could find for the WB but by then, all of the stores were gone.
Who knew we'd get that kind of cash in there?!
