Did Wishes make you cry?

Wishes did make me teary eyed and I got a headache trying not to cry, because I knew that once the tears rolled down my cheeks, then I wouldn't be able to stop.

My tearful reaction to a lot of things "Disney" is pretty legendary in my circle of family and friends...

I saw Wishes for the first time in March this year. I was on a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my Mom. She knew to watch for my tears! It was a special moment, as she had not been with me "At Home" in WDW since 97.

Last Thursday we had dinner at CP and finished just in time to see Wishes begin. I stood on the porch at CP and watched the whole show. When it was over I tried to say something to the CM who was minding the door and I couldn't say a word. I just starting crying, then she cried. She totally understood. The fireworks are fantastic! They have always been good, but Wishes is spectacular. I wish everyone could see them.

We have never seen Wishes but when I brought my wife to WDW a couple of years ago on her birthday (31st), we went get her 'its my b-day" button from Town Hall and about 30 seconds later when she saw Cindy's Castle, it sunk in where she was on her birthday and the tears began to flow like a river.

i am shocked and speechless. beautiful? yes. stirring? yes. tears? i'll save them for something really meaningful.

Sigh......of course there had to be one.

Meaning is what you make it, how it makes you feel, what it makes you think of or remember. You can't always decide what is going to meaningful to you...
...sometimes it just comes upon you. And what is to
one may not be to another. It is not for you to say what is meaningful to anyone except yourself!

I mist up at anything that my DD8 enjoys with us in a "bonding" sort of way, and Wishes definitely qualifies

I totally and completely know what you mean about Wishes making you cry. I had tears in my eyes and was all choked up when we saw the show last May. My kids thought I was crazy! It really is a wonderful fireworks show, and I think the voice of the child singing the song was what really got me! What a softy!! LOL

i cried when i saw them and i cry eveytime i watch the video we took. i just wish i'd hit the lottery so i can see the smiles on my 25 grandkids. i play the cd and video for them and i can only imagine from their smiles what seeing it for real would be like. i may be 56 but i feel like a kid when i sing along with it! everyone needs to see it.

Not only did I get misty the first time I saw it, but I bounced up and down and clapped my hands like a little girl. Once I realized I must have looked like a big dufus, I just kind of hugged my kids and sniffled a bit. It is quite spectacular and moving. I got all misty after the Wishes Cruise we took in March too, it was just so beautiful to see my parents and my kids relaxing on such a peaceful boat ride watching quite possibly the most beautiful fireworks display falling like pixie dust over THE castle...sigh.

It makes me cry everytime! I get the goosebumps and start to cry when I listen to the music in the car as well. I'm sure people drive by me thinking what happend to that girl!

Makes me cry like a baby, and of course my husband stands there looking at me like I've totally lost it. Luckily I was able to view Wishes with my best friend once and we were both able to cry together! At least she understands, haha....

I first saw Wishes fall of 2004, about 8 months after my 26 y/o son died... Cry doesn't begin to describe it... we went back 3 nights in a row before I could actually look up and see the whole thing... some wishes just won't happen... but we celebrate the years we had together... and Disney was a big part of many of those years

Wow.

I'm sitting here at work and after reading this I had to wipe a tear from my eye.

Your a very strong lady. Hugs and prayers to you. :grouphug:
