Last Thursday we had dinner at CP and finished just in time to see Wishes begin. I stood on the porch at CP and watched the whole show. When it was over I tried to say something to the CM who was minding the door and I couldn't say a word. I just starting crying, then she cried. She totally understood. The fireworks are fantastic! They have always been good, but Wishes is spectacular. I wish everyone could see them.

Yes, it always gives me goosebumps and makes tears come to my eyes.

And funny thing is, I always used to make fun of people like that but can't help myself, LOL!

My DS (14) gets the "chills" every time we play the CD. He loves Wishes, we all do!!! :)

Have you ever seen a 300 pound man cry?? That was my DH after our first viewing of Wishes. I'm not sure which made him cry more - the fireworks or our 7 year old son say "now that's what I call a show". It will always be one of my favorite memories.

I used to giggle to myself when I saw people crying at stuff, but since having my children I cry at everything. Fantasmic!, Wishes, my children interacting with the characters. I'm a complete baby now :rotfl:

Yes I must admit I had tears of joy coming from my eyes.

When I saw it last year, it was our first night there and I went through a lot last year and almost didn't make it there last year and when I was there I was so happy and so into it that I got a little choked up.

For me, I cry during Illuminations. But maybe Wishes, too, during our next trip! :Pinkbounc

I wouldn't say I cry, but it definitely leaves a lump in my throat. I think Wishes is far and away, the best nighttime show I've ever seen at Disney.

BTW - On the Wishes CD, does it have the narration by Jimminy Cricket, or is just the Wishes song?

I also tear up during Wishes and watching my kids with the characters. I do listen to Wishes almost evryday, my husband bought it as a surprise last year and gave it to me as we were leaving to drive home! It does have Jiminy narrating. Its like you are there and that is what I imagine all the time!! :wizard:

Boy, am I glad that I am not the only one!!! I am always afraid to look around for fear people are watching me with big tears running down my face!
I agree, Wishes is amazing and when it comes to Illuminations,,,just bring me a bucket to fill!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

You're definitely not the only one. Last trip I finally got a good spot to see Tinkerbell fly... and watching her sail across and wave to the crowd reduced me to massive, heaving sobs.

:sad1: I always tear up. It's the best, I am glad I am not the only one :flower:

is the best place to watch "Wishes" at the MK? We're going to be seeing it for the first time in September. 45 days to go! WooHoo!

Yup I cried the five times we saw it. The first day we saw it from the resort I cried because I was so happy to be there with my Fiance. Day 2 we had a preferred viewing for it and I cried because it was so beautiful to be right there and to hear everything. Day 3 I saw it I cried because it was my wedding day and we were watching it from a boat. The part that talks about how wishes do come true was absolutely perfect for us because on that day my wishes had come true when I said my vows to the man I love. The fourth time I cried because we watched it from our wedding location at the resort and the last time was because it was our last day. It truly affected me in so many different ways. I need to find the soundtrack I bought of it so I can just relive the memories.

We were at our very first Wishes show on Sunday night July 17th and about 10 seconds or so into it, the audio gave out. It then became just fireworks. We were disappointed, and left shortly thereafter. We never went back for Wishes that week. I would have loved it with audio, I'm sure. Anyone ever have this happen to them?

My Pooh-sized manly-man of a husband cried like a baby. This was our first trip, first night to WDW. We watched Wishes from the Poly beach. It was late December and cold, so our family stood there all hugged up to keep warm while watching the show. He's not afraid to cry, but I'm thinking the fact that we watched Wishes this way made the experience that more emotional.

Yep. Our DD started crying when Tink flew over, which made me tear up. Then DH saw us crying and he got teary eyed.
