What great updates! How cool of an experience for the girls to have at 1900 PF! And the bunny people? I thought that adults were not suppose to wear costumes in the park except at Halloween... I can see why that parade is your favorite. I really hope to see it! It looks like it would be my favorite as well.

I'm all caught up again. Sounds like you had a good day on Tuesday. I was at EPCOT that day too, just not for too long. It sounds like you had fun during MVMCP even though it was cold.

We had a great time even though it was cold. I just kept thinking it's colder at home

Great trip report,

my note to self on our 1st trip was "never visit MK on a Saturday again" funnily enough our first day of our next trip we are doing exactly that.

But there is method in my madness, we have reservations for Crystal Palace at 8.00 am and it is our first day in the park. We will have flown in from the UK so will be jet lagged to our advantage by being ready to go early in the morning but fading mid afternoon.

So we will make use of the morning and move out before it gets crazy busy.

We have dinner reservations for Ohana I am hoping it will be ok, I have them for 5.00 pm with the hope that it is early enough in the evening for them to be behind in their service........ we will wait and see.

Looking forward to reading some more.

Great trip report,

Eh that is nothing, the flight to New Zealand is 26 hours. We have the joy of testing that one out at Christmas with three kids, it was bad enough with 2 should be really interesting with 3

what a fantastic dinner at 1900! i love all the pics! and lol at them trying to always snag looks at the prince, so darn cute!

sorry Em was freaked on Maelstrom. bummer! It is definitely dark, so i see how it could be scary, not to mention the trolls. lol.

so glad you got to meet up with other DISers! and i am a bad 'stranger danger' person then too......when at the Dolphin for the DIS unplugged cruise (pre stay), we ran into a guy waiting for a cab to get over to Cape May Cafe for a breakfast a lot of DISers were doing. WE had a rental and saw he was a DISer and asked if he needed a ride! So yea, we gave a stranger a ride. Turns out- he was on the original mickey mouse club too back in the day, not a major character, but was part of it! so cool and we still keep in touch on FB.

The wait for the Dwarfs wasn't too bad because they don't sign. We got to the line about 6:45 and we were done before 7:30 and saw all the princesses before 8pm.

Wednesday December 15th

Park: Animal Kingdom

Reservations: none

Today is our one and only Animal Kingdom day. This park is starting to grow on me but at first it was kinda like a zoo but now that I have done more research I see there is much more!

I wanted to have breakfast at AK but I couldn’t remember what place served breakfast or what they had so I decided to eat at Pop. We start with the typical Mickey waffle at Pop for breakfast. Now let me tell you I have figured out that all Mickey waffles are not created equal. We had them at Pop a lot and they were nowhere near as soft as they were at Ohana. I could eat the ones at Ohana all the time but I hate biting into a crunchy Mickey Waffle.
We got to Ak and I was gonna head to the safari and grab a FP but there was no line and it said 5 min wait so we jumped in line for our very first 2 week safari

We stopped to play some drums

We were on our way to get FP’s for EE when we ran into some characters we just had to meet. First up was flik ( we didn’t see him last trip but did in 08)

Then we ran into some friends that I love since Jungle Book was my favorite movie growing up

The girls autograph books have beads in them so you can shake them and they make noise, well the girls had Baloo and King Louie dancing to the music. It was very cute!

We got fast passes for EE for sometime after 1pm (next year I will take pictures of all these things) so we decided to do the Maharajah Jungle Trek

The we made our way over to Dinoland USA

The kids played in the park for a bit then made their way over to dig for bones

After not finding any bones they gave up and went back to the park. We went over to take a ride on TriceraTop Spin

It was getting close to the time to line up for the Nemo show (we have never seen this show so I wanted to make sure we did this trip. I’m not really sure what I think of it. I’m not sure I liked that it was people holding puppets. I knew that’s what it was before we went but I thought it was kinda weird.

I don’t know that we will rush to see it again. Lion King show is much better and we missed it this trip so it will be a must do for next time

Now the kids were whining that they are starving so we went to Flame Tree BBQ and oh my gosh it was really good. If you have not eaten here make it there next trip cause it was yummy. We got the ribs and they were very good. Ask Emma she ate all mine

Next was our first ride on Expedition Everest. Of course mom and Emma didn’t ride but me and Eryka had a blast!!!

We had 2 extra FP’s so we gave them to a mom and son that were at the FP machines (FP’s were gone for the day) I hope they loved it!!!

We decided we had to head back to Africa because the other trail was there and I have never done that one. We stopped to take some pics of Everest and got some PP pics too but since we were eating ice cream they aren’t the best ( I will do a photopass post when the CD comes)

On the way we got stopped by the parade, how the heck did I forget about the parade?????

We still had a pretty good view and I thought it was pretty cool. I was expecting different but it was nice that it’s not just typical parade floats, very cool

On the way to Africa I notice the Tree of Life looks really pretty with the sun on it so I stop to take some pictures and we run into a nice photopass photographer. He takes pics of us and some magic shots (which I will post later)

Now we head to the Pangani Forest Trail. We find a nice CM that offers to take a family picture

Well it was getting late and they were getting ready to close this area of the park (evening EMH’s but not this area) We got on the trail but I guess the animals didn’t like the cold so they were mostly hiding, we will have to hit this trail next year too

Now we head to Camp Minnie Mickey

We saw a lot of characters here last year but we missed Santa Goofy so we needed to see him. We got there and there was no Goofy so we asked and were told he would be back in 10 minutes, which means we are first in line!!!

Emma takes off her hat and all her hair stands on end from the static so Goofy decided he needed to play with it… too funny.

I had to take pictures of the different Christmas trees

Now it is after 6pm and we decided we are done for the day so I stop to take some pictures of the tree on the way out then we head back to Pop

We had dinner at the food court and then I decided to try to pack what I can now while mom does a load of laundry. We don’t leave till Friday morning but I hate last minute packing. We make it an early night cause the next day is our last and we will be spending it at Magic Kingdom!!!!
