Did packages for 2012 come out this morning?

Just booked for August 2012. Now hoping for free dining or some kind of discount

So if I book my trip & then some kind of special offer comes out, how do I go about that?

I went online to look at prices and I'm confused as to why the BC is $500 less expensive than YC for June 2012? Also, is it normal that the only room options for YC are water/pool view, which shows up as the norm... or all the other room options have CL tacked into the rates. I'm confused.

You can call reservations and they can modify your package to include the offer as long as it can be applied. I had to do that in 2007...however, things may have changed since then.

Difference in room category. Standard or Garden view at YC may not be available.

Wow, this is early for the packages. We have already booked our flights for March and have a room reservation, but I guess it is time to start thinking about a package (and hoping for a discount!)

It is surprising as to what's unavailable. For example, the Garden Wing at the Contemporary isn't coming up for my dates. And I somehow doubt the entire Garden wing is booked 9 months in advance.

I would venture to guess that the resort is holding availability for some reason. I'm always shocked when I find GV there for a guest at the last minute. Especially when theme park and Bay Lake views are sold out. GV's typically go first.

The CR may be hosting a conference at that time. I know of at least one conference myself that takes place at CR in late March.

Also, Art of Animation is opening in phases. Ariel will be one of the last. This is the reason no standard rooms are available to book yet.

that would also explain why i had "family suite" and "Nemo Family suite" as my options but no others
ie Nemo will be the only one open in July 2012

I was really disappointed that the Little Mermaid section wasn't available for my dates. All that came up were the suites. I booked All Star Sports for October 13th - 20th.

All of the suite wings will be interior entry, Little Mermaid will be exterior entry. It will price out at a bit more than the All Stars.

Actually... There must be a convention or something. My dates are 2/14-2/20. For 2/15-2/20, I can beeok the Garden Wing. But the 14th is booked up.
Disappointing, as I find the Garden Wing a great way to be on the monorail, at an affordable price.

Yes, they're probably holding a block for a convention. I said that that room category typically sells out the fastest.

We were too! Trying to decide if we should book Pop Century or POR. After looking at the new dining plan prices, I think we will pay OOP for food this year so we'll probably only book a package if it's part of a discount.

Did anyone else get a headache looking at the prices? Is it really necessary to have 20 different season choices and then 9 different room types for POR? I think I may end up getting a travel agent just to keep it all straight for me.

I ended up booking at ASSports because LM rooms weren't available. I wouldn't mind staying at another AS, but I loved Sports as a kid and my boyfriend likes sports. I will have to show him pictures of Music, Sports and Movies and see what he likes best. I can always call and change. Wonder how long that will take. My gramma and I didn't spend much on food (except for our CG dinner) when we went so I don't think my DBF and I will spend too much money on food. I think most of our food money is going to go toward trying new drinks.

I hear you! We normally book a moderate and occasionally a deluxe but next year we are going back to a value resort and are excited about our first stay at POP Century. Because of the economy, no raises, rising prices of everything we had to totally skip a trip this year.

You will really like it there. We have stayed at all levels also and we like it. I was actually surprised how much. Lucky for us we haven't had to skip a year but we have also been taking advantage of FD for the past 3 years and staying at pop. I really want to try AOA next year but no standard rooms so we will most likey be at pop again.

Maybe book Pop, then switch to AofA when it becomes available.
