Did it take a while for you to get used to...

Sugar free products? I bought some Edys sugar free triple choc ice cream, I do WW but it was on sale and is only 4 points per cup. Well I got it home and dug in but it tasted "funny", left an after taste, & my stomach was hurting....but of course I finished my 4 points worth  Is it just me or does it take a few times to get used to? :confused3

My experience has been that you have to find the right products. I bought some Pierre's brand no sugar added (sweetend with splenda) chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream and it is "da bomb"!! The chocolate ice cream has sugar free peanut butter cups and whole peanuts in it. Yummy!

I love Breyer's no sugar added neopalitan ice cream too. But someone told me Edy's brand wasn't good so I haven't tried it.

I also bought Hershey's sugar free mini chocolates with almonds. DH says they are nasty.

did it have malitol as an ingredient? if so that may be the culpret of the tummy ache -- it leaves me hurting and unable to leave the house if you know what i mean ;)

yes I do think any "lite" or reduced fat/sugar or whatever does take a little getting used to. but I think you'll soon find the trade-off is worth it -- you'll feel soooo much better eating better!

where abouts in Ohio??

have you tried the Smart one ice cream treats? they are delish!

I find that almost all sugar free products just don't settle well on my stomach. I can't even drink diet pop!!

I thought it was just me, and I have just adjusted to not having sweets. I pretty much no longer crave them, so it isn't that hard.

I was reading the side of the package & it says "May have a laxative affect on sensitive individuals":crazy2: I had actually went to the store to but WW sundae cups but the Edys was on sale for half the price of the WWs products so I decided to give it a try. I should have spent the extra $$ I also saw on the package it says if you aren't 100% satisfied call & they will refund you $$....I'm trying to decide if I should call or not, it was only a couple of dollars.

BTW I live in New Albany, OH a suburb of Columbus.

I love the Weight Watchers ice creams. My favorites are the chocolate chocolate sundae cups (2 pts) and giant fudge bars (1 pt). When I'm at a birthday party, or out of weight watchers, a good old fashioned hoodsie cup is only 2 pts. Finally, while the ww ice creams are expensive, I rationalize it by figuring how much money I saved by not eating Tostitos, and it doesn't seem like so much!
