Did I pay too much for bedding?

I'm terrible....I buy somethinig when I come home I think that was way too much,.....then think I should return.......also it really hurts when I find the same thing in another store for a cheaper price....

As others have said, if you love them and you can afford them, then you didn't spend too much. But it's sounding like maybe you don't love them after all? Or is it just that you feel you don't love them enough for the amount you spent on them?

I'm a sheet snob. I just spent about $90 on 600 ct sateen cotton sheets. And when I crawl into bed, I don't think "I can't believe I spent that much on stinkin' sheets." I think "Ooooh, I love my bed!" If you feel guilty about your bedding instead of happy, then you spent too much.

OP, I sleep better in nice expensive sheets than just plain cheap ones.

I'd say: just keep them, and feel every night as if you're in a deluxe hotel!

You got a lot of stuff. It is likely to last you for years. If you like it and since you said you can afford it, keep it and enjoy!
Of course, I don't know exactly what you got, but I was browsing the bedding section at Macy's this weeked and I think you got a good deal!:goodvibes

BTW and a bit OT, while at Macy's I saw a throw pillow on a bed display that cost $100! Yes, just the little pillow. I can't even imagine. But, I guess there must be a market for it.

We're in a brand new house and I needed the entire bed esemble and we paid about $600. We got a devut, 600 count queen sheets, extra pillow cases, pillow shams, dust ruffel, and 6 panels for the windows. The $600 was with 20% off. I figure it's something I will have for a long time and it was what I wanted and the color I wanted, so it was worth it.

5) I have such a hard time spending money on luxuries for myself. Do you find yourself doing that too?

When my grandmother died, we found all kinds of "luxury items" like new nightgowns with the tags still on them, and she'd been sleeping in ratty old gowns with holes in them. She was a big believer in saving nice things--what the heck was she saving them for? It was sad, really. Everybody deserves some nice things.

As for the bedding, if you really love it and will use it for years, then keep it. If it's just okay, return it.

When I got married 14 years ago, I splurged and bought a $75 shower curtain that I absolutely loved and I'm still using it (which breaks down to $5.36 a year for the usage I've gotten out of it ;) ). I'd much rather buy something I love then settle and end up wanting to replace it in a year.
