Did I miss the new fall discount coming out for Disney Visa holders? Did it just come out this morning as a general code for the public and not early for those of us who bothered to get the card?

I'm confused and feel like I missed it. Got an email from our TA this morning, but missed it because of work and now she says we only have the choice of moving from preferred AsMovies to standard AsSports. :guilty: No thanks. My kids would not enjoy sports as well as movies... It would save $600, but honestly now that our trip is paid in full I would rather not be disappointed by moving resorts.

What do you all think?:confused3

If you have just what you want I would not change it:woohoo: I was able to use the code and get a $407 discount but I did not have to change a single thing, and if I would have had to change something I would not have taken it.:cool2:

Did you use the code today or did you get it early?

I'm trying to find out if the codes came out a few days early for Visa holders. Are you one?

That is awesome you got the discount. When do you go?

There has been no Disney Visa code released, and from what we're hearing, the general public code will be it for a while. I too am a card holder and was looking for it early, but no such luck.

I'm a die hard ASMo fan, but for $600, I would move! Did you know you can walk between the All-Stars? We've done it - there's just a parking lot in between them. You can also use any of the pools at any of the three resorts, and their food courts. I would agree that my first choice would be Movies, but that's a pretty big savings....

Really?

I just know nothing about Sports and what few pictures I have seen just don't look like what we would enjoy. I know, it's just a hotel room. And it IS a big savings. I'm just not feeling the move. We may not ever go to Disney again and it was part of our dream (yeah, big dreamers we are:rotfl: ) to stay at Asmo. We booked this same trip in 2006, but because of a discount we moved to Pop. Really liked it- only now we have scrimped for another 2 years and really want to be at Asmo finally. It just looks so Disney, ya know?

Thanks for talking thru this with me. I appreciate other opinions. Sports may not even be avail now it's been so many hours.

I can certainly understand if your heart is really set on Movies - we do love it there. Keep calling back and checking - people cancel/switch ressies all the time.

In fact, we were booked at ASMu last November, but I really wanted Movies, so I kept checking back and it did open up.

Pixie dust to you pixiedust:

Did you price out a moderate? You may be able to stay at a mod for the same price as what you're paying for your value? Worth a shot! :hippie:

What a great idea. We really do have our heart set on Movies, but I asked TA to check about mods.

Thanks for the great suggestion!

I used the codes that came out today. I am a visa holder but visa did not come out with codes as of today.

12/22 to 12/26/08 CR garden wind deluxe dinning:santa:

good luck

We were originally booked at POP and with the code we're able to upgrade to CSR for about $100 less than what we were paying at POP. Might be something worth thinking about.

I see ther was a lot of DISERS whop upgrade from a value to a moderate, but I already have a moderate, does anyone know if people got a deluxe for about the same price as a moderate.

The only deluxe available for our dates was AKL and with the discount, it priced out (standard view room) to be a few dollars cheaper than I was originally paying for CBR for a preferred room. I opted to stay at CBR (standard room) for about $590 in savings.
