Hi, guys. I just called to change my ressies to CBR. The girl said, yes we have a room available. Great, I said. I told her I wanted to apply my CTN discount that I already got w/ my existing ressies to the CBR ressies(just in case she forgot) She then told me, that she couldn't because the only way the CTN code would apply is with the King-bed room. ????????? Does that make sense? Why would she say that. This is 1 of several weird things that have happened ever since I started trying to switch hotels. I'm just going to shut-up and be happy with what I have. I just thought I'd share that w/ you, I thought it was wacky.:rolleyes:
 
She probably meant that the king was all there was available using that code. I would call back and double checl with another CM though.

When dealing with CMs, you have to keep calling back until you get one who knows what's going on.:D
 
I seem to remember reading something about this King bed only issue back when CTN first came out. Maybe those are the rooms they offer at a discount as a way to fill them ? I know when I first called trying to get a AP discount at BWI I was told they was nothing being offered but later in that same day a different CM was able to get the CTN discount for me in just the type of room I wanted. I would call back, some CMs are more helpful and forthcoming with info.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. I told him about the code and when he called they told him it was only for king rooms. I told him to try again and he got the same response.
