did I make the right decision?

After lots of going back and forth, I just changed my POR ressies to the WL woodsview $490 more. It will be myself, DH, DS10, DS7 and DD2 (celebrating her 3rd in WDW). I just got nervous the POR trundle bed room would be too small. The boys are very excited about the bunk beds and DH is excited about the much shorter walk to eat. Now I'm second guessing the move. Keep thinking the $$ could have been used somewhere else! One side note, this is all done through the Disney Visa 7/4 and I'm thinking I probably couldn't afford to stay at a deluxe this long otherwise. Did I do the right thing?

I have not stayed in either one of those resorts, but, stop second guessing yourself. The kids and DH are excited. Let yourself get excited too! I always look at a Disney vacation as a "splurge", the room, the meals, the "extras"...but I just let myself enjoy every minute of it.

......I think you made a good move, especially if this is the only way you'll be able to experience a Deluxe. As newmousecateer said, don't second-guess yourself, just be excited about being able to stay in a Deluxe.

A couple of questions for you - they told us that Wilderness Lodge holds a max. of 4 people?? Also, can I be nosy and ask how much it was for the 7/4 deal? I just got my VISA!!

No way you made a great choice! especially if you can score the top floor of the north wing and see the MK fireworks!

We've stayed at both resorts and would spend anything to stay at WL over POR again.

eljojo- my dd is 2 turning 3 while there so we made the "family cut off" I was told. They will give me a pack n play, but I think she'll either get in the queen bed with us, or in the bottom bunk with a brother. We paid $2181.99 for a woodsview on the Visa 7/4.

The rooms at the WL are rather small. I believe they are the smallest of the deluxe resorts. But it's a wonderful place to stay!!
