Since my family enjoyed ourselves last week, on the last day I went to the front desk and added 4 more days with no expiration to the 2 adult tickets that we had. It was orignally a 6 day with nothing else. What I wonder in a few years when we go for another 5 nights can this happen. Stay at a disney hotel for 5 nights, add 2 nights to our park tickets and add 5 nights on the dining plan? My wife said this is not possible but with all of the Disney experts what do you say to my idea? :confused3

No one can guarantee what Disney's policies will be in a few years. However, right now you can add the dining plan to a package with just a one day ticket, so if the dining plan is still offered when you go, I would say yes. The dining plan, however, is based on the number of NIGHTS you are staying at your hotel. Therefore, if you are staying for seven nights you would have to get the dining plan for seven nights, unless you split the reservation. HTH

Your tickets are purchased already, therefore you would have to purchase another ticket as part of a package to be able to take advantage of the dining plan. So, in theory you could buy a 2-day ticket as part of a package and have 5 nights of hotel, 5 nights of dining, but you would not be able to add on to the ticket you now hold in your hand, I don't think. You can use the ticket you have for 4 days, and then use the other ticket with 2 days for the other two days. They would be separate package tickets. Hope that helps.

Assuming the ticket prices stay proportionately the same as what they are today not including increases over time...

What you did is good provided there is some future vacation during which you use up these partially used tickets, possibly use up other partially used tickets, but do not commence using any new tickets. In the preceding 6 day example you invested $121. in the 4 days you added and which you will use up next time along with a new 2 day pass. If instead you saved the leftover 4 days and bought a 6 day expiring pass with your package instead of the 2 day pass, you would spend $82. more. If your next vacation was for 4 days you would be better off using the old tickets and avoid spending $234. apiece on new 4 day hopping tickets. You may be required to buy another ticket for as little as $64. to go with the package but you would save it and can decide later what to do with it.

You cannot "add more days" after you already "added more days or features" or after the ticket is more than 14 days from first usage, but you can trade the ticket in towards another ticket. The exchange rate is usually quite unfavorable since you must purchase every feature for the new ticket that you made use of on the old ticket.
