Did I do this backwards???

We booked the parasailing & banana boat ride as early as possible (so we could spend the rest of the day with the kids on the beach.) My reasoning is that they wouldn't be as tired & reluctant to go to the kids club as they would after playing in the sun for a few hours. Did I do this backwards? Should I have booked the excursions late and played on the beach first? Will the club be open? (I have read about them closing to relocation to and from the ship.) Anyone want to share past experiences that I could take advice from?

I can't answer all of your questions as I do not have children. But personally, I'd rather do my excursions earlier when I have more energy and aren't as wiped out from the sun AND so that I have the rest of the day to just relax on the beach instead of worrying about making an excursion.
