OK - we are going to Disney for 8 nights in Aug. I had a 40%off room discount. SO, I booked at the AKL pool view bunk bed (only other room available besides standard - and with a 2 yr old I really did not want a bunk bed - but it was ok) Anyway, we have stayed AKL before - and loved it....However, I have always wanted to stay at the Beach Club and was kinda waiting for the boys to get a little older to enjoy the pool, they are 8 and 5 now. So, on a whim I changed the reservation to the Beach Club....I hope I did the right thing......

I've never stayed at either AKL or the Beach Club. Although I've 'visited' both resorts to eat. I think an 8 year old and a 5 year old will LOVE the pool at the Beach Club. Relax, enjoy, and continue planning. I'm sure you will have a Magical Vacation!:goodvibes

I've never stayed at AKL, but we LOVE the Beach Club. I can't imagine how you'd be disapointed there. It's a truly incredible place and so easy to get to the parks.

Have fun!

Great! Thanks for your comments....sometimes I just decide something without thinking it completely through.

Thanks -
Jennifer

I think you made a great choice. We have never stayed at AKL or the BC, but the BC is on our agenda for the near future. Enjoy planning your wonderful vacation.

I've stayed at both. Most of of the people in my family preferred BC by a mile. (Animal crazy DS is the exception but, to be honest, a poolview room would make him miserable ... savannah or nothing for that child. :-) )

Have a wonderful time. The sandy bottomed part of Stormalong Bay was wonderful - my boys wanted to stay there all day, heck with the rides!

We've stayed at both. Right now we much prefer BC. It's our favorite resort. I can't imagine you'd be disappointed there. Besides the pool, there are so many other advantages. You can walk to Epcot every single day and night! What could be better than that -- avoid the crowds after Illuminations, no bus lines. You can also walk or boat to the Studios. Boardwalk is a 5-minute walk away from BC and there is lots of entertainment to enjoy, including shopping, restaurants, ESPN Club, pizza take-out window, ice cream, candy shop, carnival-type games, rent surrey bikes, magicians, etc. At the BC, there is a movie on the beach each night. You can also watch Illuminations without entering Epcot. There is Beaches & Cream at BC where you can enjoy an ice cream treat by the pool. There is a character breakfast in BC too. Lots to do. Beautiful resort. Beautiful area. You got a great deal with the 40%, so keep BC and don't look back. You'll love it!!

I've never stayed at either.

But you absolutely did the right thing.

You've always wanted to stay there, and the deals don't get much better than 40%-- THIS is your golden opportunity!!!

I have always wanted to stay at the BC, but have not been lucky enough to ever receive an awesome code. I am sooo jealous...and defiantly think you made the right choice!

We spent just over a week at both BCV & AKV in 2007.

Although we love both resorts...BCV gets my vote.
Your boys will love it!!

**HINT: Bring your own Super Soakers from home or be prepared to buy some there. They sell 4 different kinds at the poolside gift shop.
