Just listened to the July 7 podcast and really enjoyed it as always...except the part when Apple store Andy said he was thinking about his work and two jobs then he saw a funeral procession the other day and thought to himself that he could be the guy driving the hearse- but his life isn't THAT bad.

I'm a funeral director and I have a feeling I'd pick my job and my life over whatever it is he does for a living.

Had to vent.

Love the podcasts!

Different strokes, I suppose. For Andy your job seems like a total downer. For you, standing behind a counter feeding needy people their Apple products may well be the same thing. Thank goodness we are not all the same! Otherwise, how would anything ever get done?

It definitely takes special people to be funeral directors because you work with people during the saddest times in their lives. You have to be a counselor/minister to almost everyone you meet plus get your job done.

My daddy worked for a casket company from the time he was 18 until the day he died and he had a lot of friends who were funeral directors. So your profession was very near and dear to him.

Thanks for what you do!

As a person who routinely hears, "I could never do that," about my work, I feel your pain. :)

But when you have a job you love, who cares if other people wouldn't want to do it? (And just who asked them to, anyway? ;) )

This is exactly why that little troublemaker was banned in the first place!

;)
