Did everyone so far get their first choice?

Just curious if everyone so far is getting their first choice of resort, dates, and room/view type.

We did - we have 2 preferred location rooms at CBR Aug 29-Sept7
And my cousin did also - standard room at POP Aug 29-Sept 5

Hope everyone gets the resort/dates they are hoping for!!!

YUP, got exactly what we wanted.( I already had the room only and they changed it all out for me)...which now presents the opportunity to add on another trip...Me The DH: not so much

Yes! We can't wait to try out All Star Music!! The pool side activities and movies under the stars sound fab! Free Dinining (well, we upgraded) is the icing on the cake

Nope, couldn't be Beach Club. Bummer. We got stuck at Boardwalk again. Just want to try something new. This will be our last trip staying on site. We can stay at much nicer hotels in the area for a lower cost, and earn points for staying there. Just don't see the extra value in my wallet staying on site anymore.

Nope...only Poly availability was Lagoon view or higher, so it was cheaper for us to use the 40% code.

I got my 1st choice Poly, but my DH's first choice was Contemporary. I asked about Contemporary 1st, but they only had MK view left. So, I went with the less expensive Poly quote.
I have a feeling that those that want something different might be able to change once the "free dining" frenzy settles down.
In year's past I have been able to change and upgrade several times as people's plans change.

That stinks. Is the BC not available for the promotion at all or just when you were able to go? I am trying on Monday to switch our BC ressie to FD.

Thanks to the good people here on the DIS Boards, I had everything in place CBR and ADRs. I logged in at around 6:30 this AM, saw the post and had to be one of the first through to DTC at 7am. By 7:15 I had my free dining applied to my reservation and was wished a magical day! Thank you DISers!

I wanted BLT 1BR standard and got 1BR lake view for 4 nights and studio for 2. Plus I got the pleasure of paying 1 night deposit on each since it was booked as two reservations

Called in at around 10am eastern time while on vacation at WDW. Was online checking my flight information and saw the free dining was available here on the DIS.

So I called up Disney...had no wait at all. Spoke with a very nice CM and got two preferred rooms at Pop Century and upgraded to the regular dining plan.

I got exactly what I wanted too- staying at Pop with free dining! Yay!

I do think that at this point everyone will probably get what they want since it is only Disney Visa cardholders... it may be a very different story next week when free dining is available to all.

We got Beach club for Sept. 23 - just a standard room. They had several options but I just kept asking for standard

I can't speak for free dining but I booked yesterday with the 40% off code for the Contemporary in Sept. and my CM told me the rooms were flying off the shelf so to speak. I was able to get the view I wanted although he first presented me with the more expensive views and I had to ask him to check for the cheaper ones.

Got what we wanted. Pop with free dining (we upgraded to) doing the MNSSHP for the first time. Can't wait.

Yep, we got POFQ standard with Reg Dining Plan.

I was able to add FD to existing reservation, no problem. Saved 690 dollars. Staying atPOR. Aug 16 - 23. Good luck all.

I really wanted 40% off room code to stay at a deluxe b/c that would have worked out better for us, but despite my best efforts, never got a pin code. Oh, well, free food is good too.

My answer would be yes and no. We were booked for a 2 bedroom villa at the BW in Aug. (made reservation in Oct) but they had no availability to add the free dining. We will stick with our current reservation and the villa discount we have. We only would have saved about $150 since paying full price for the villa is expensive so we aren't out too much. Thankfully we have had our ADRs made since Feb. and we have everything we want so we won't be disappointed at all.

Just wondering if anyone has had difficulty in booking FD at WL, we already have everything booked and now are just waiting for Monday to request FD? If our room level is "booked" for FD, could I just upgrade my room and see if FD is available?

I called in at about 8:30am eastern time on the 27th(thankyou Dis!!!)had only a 2 minute wait time. We were able to book WL Sept. 17-25 with free dining!!! There were no standard view rooms available, so we booked woods view instead!
