Did DVD build Aulani?

Looking at association documents is appears that Disney Vacation Development (DVD) may have built and is running Aulani, both the hotel side and the DVC side.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I'm sure Jim Lewis et al. believed it would sell like hotcakes.
