Did Double Dipping FP Just End?

This is kind of what I was thinking. How could they hand out KTTW cards and simply turn them off to paper fast passes? I don't think KTTW cards or the paper fast pass machines are advanced enough to have the programming where valid KTTW cards could be cut off from utilizing FPs.

The post I read said the KTTW card had an RFID chip but not a magnetic stripe.

The legal definition of hearsay, is if someone tells me that a CM told THEM that they were able to use their KTTW cards to obtain legacy fast passes, but I did not observe/witness the CM doing so, then me using that story to draw a conclusion is considered hearsay.

A CM speaking to me on the phone or in person, and telling me that I am able to use my KTTW card for legacy fast passes is not hearsay.

No, you claiming that a CM told you something while the rest of us have no way of questioning the same CM would be hearsay. If you're gonna get legal and all...

If guests aren't getting KTTW cards that work with the legacy system it will be interesting to see if AP holders saying on site with the bands will still have working AP for the legacy machines.

APs still have the mag stripe so I'd say yes they will still work. Other than those couple days of CM testing using simulated APs, there has been any mention of bands for all AP holders yet. Not sure if the testing didn't go as planned or if they are just shelving it for the moment to deal with other types of tickets.

It's hearsay to you, not to me...to be legal.

Ohh I agree with you

My AP still works in the FP machines, even if I used my MB band to get into the park

You can leave your MB at home now and just use your AP if you want. I think this is very exciting because everything went much faster tapping the card over scanning the band for us. And I hate the bands so this means I can just leave it all at home.

It's only hearsay if I heard them tell someone else. They were telling me!

I'm talking about the other people posting on here saying they were told something different than you. That's their "report". We have no way to validate that it actually happened that way.

If it's not the exact definition of "hearsay", I apologize. I don't have my law degree ;)

Once again, as per previous information, including what easywdw is now reporting...

KTTW cards are not disappearing. You can still get one if you ask for one. It just might not work in legacy FP machines.

Ok, and again, there is information out there that as of the 27th, they are only issuing KTTW cards to certain people, not everyone.

No here's what they plan

"As part of the test-and-adjust process for MyMagic+, some testing related to the elimination of Key to the World cards is scheduled in the coming days. Beginning October 27, select Guests will use a MagicBand only for touch to enter room, touch to enter park, FastPass+ and touch-to-pay (Keys to the World will NOT be issued)."

Please excuse my stoopidity, but....

Does that mean that only AP holders and those with park tickets not linked to a magic band can use FP- after Sunday? Since there would not longer be KTTW?

I'd bet UT tickets linked to MBs will still work even if they stop distributing FP enabled KTTW cards. Would love to hear some feedback on this after the 27th.

You both said the same thing. ;)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS.

Anything to hurt the double and triple dippers. Now they need to make sure the FP kiosks stop accepting old KTTK cards
