So true ...

Frankly my dears...it had to end sometime. Hopefully this brings us closer to a freakin' end product. I'd just like to know what I will be dealing with when I go next year. ROLL IT THE HECK OUT IN FULL ALREADY. Tear off the band aid.
Still haven't heard anyone actually report that they're KTTW card didn't work in the FP machine. If this happens to us, I plan to have them replaced at guest services with cards that work.
As someone who just spent a lot of our vacation with Guest Services or at one of the MB stations just three days ago I'm pretty shocked they've removed FP- for the testers. I was the only one in our party who's MB and FP+ kept "crashing" (their words not mine). I had three MBs on a seven day trip. We'd get it set up and it would look good to go and by the time my next FP+ rolled around or I would go to room-charge something it would crash again. The CMs at the FP return treated me like criminal like I was trying to rob others. As if I would schedule my entire family and not myself? Not sure how that would get me ahead, but whatever. It was pretty horrible. Every time my band wouldn't go green it was like I had flipped them the bird or peed in their Cheerios. Finally the second to last day my entire family was given a courtesy FP good to use all day for whatever rides we wanted as many times as we'd like, so that was pretty fantastic, but the five days before, playing MB-roulette sucked. If the rest of my family couldn't pull FP- the first 5 days of our vacation we wouldn't have experienced attractions together as I was often told I had to go to stand-by or to guest relations even with my plea and repeating my story. It was very "no excuses, no mercy..." Not very Disney from what I've experienced in the past. We had banked on our three FP+ attractions with the intention to only pull a FP- in circumstances out of control. If I spent an hour+ at Guest Services for the first 5 days every time it crashed you'd be looking at 20+ hours away from my family or with them waiting. Some members of my extended family who didn't have FP+ experienced FP- running out at TSM last Wednesday not even 10 minutes after the park opened. They were really disappointed as they ran to the attraction to only be let down to a huge line and then CM's walking through the line announcing the passes were gone. That's poor planning on Disney's part. I'm really surprised how popular TSM is in WDW. At DLR it's popular, but we saw 2.5 hour wait time last Sunday. It's a great ride, but that's just nutty.
did you try your MB?I can confirm that I was at a Hilton in Chicago yesterday and the room key card that my wife received did not work to open the room door. I wish Hilton wouldn't put the magnetic card reader system into effect until they got all of the glitches worked out. I blame the whole episode on FP+ implementation.

. I remember the June crowds in the 1980s when we would wait for 3 hours for SM (and I had to be taken out of line multiple times to use the bathroom); this holiday season would be a repeat of those times of yore.
And those are the ones that would have a right to be a bit upset about the double dipping. How many of those in front of them pulling paper FPs already had a FP+ for that ride plus 2 others headliners. The ones that didn't have FP+ that day in HS was very lucky to get 1 FP for a headliner. Now I'm not saying I don't agree with your reasons for wanting to double dip and our family might would do the same in that position but I do see the other side. In fact my DB's family was there last week and wasn't able to get a FP for Soarin' on their Epcot day. By the time they were able to pull another FP after their TT FP, they were all gone. They were not able to use FP+s. How many of those paper FP went to the ones already with Soarin' FP+?
Subbing in. I'm one of those who expressed reticence at trying the FP+ system to a CM on the phone and was expressly told I could use both so I should have no worries. That's the only reason I signed up to do it; I wasn't going to be restricted to 3 FP a day - especially when I park hop at least two parks a day.
If I get to WDW and am told that this is now forbidden, I'll go to GR and have them take off the FP+ - unless reports continue that there are no FP for anything past 10 a.m., then what would it matter? Might as well keep them at that point!
Seems like poor timing - I'm sure at Thanksgiving/Christmas/NYE there are tens of thousands of people staying offsite who can't get MB and can't get FP+. It would be a complete disaster for their trips; I am already envisioning 4 hour long lines at the teacups.
