Did Double Dipping FP Just End?

One would like to "assume" that the fp+ will work correctly. On my MK day, I would have gladly handed in my magic band and said just give me the legacy machine.

I understand, to a point, if people are frustrated with "double dipping" when given a fully functioning FP+ system. However, it is another thing entirely to take away legacy FP when FP+ still has glitches.

Yes, but a BIG part of the "glitches" you speak of are the fact that people with FP+ are still able to pull regular FP. They have to test the system the way it's mean to be implemented. Otherwise what's the point in testing?

This won't really affect me if it is true. I have my FPs for the things I like to do and that's enough. Between EMHs, the Christmas party, and the Candlelight Processional( special area for Illuminations) I'll get to do everything I want anyway.

Guess we can use our separate UT tickets anyway.. Testers were told they could use both FP - and FP + so the op was incorrect..

Yesterday at MK I was able to pull fast passes with band and with annual passes and with cards my daughter collected which were a year old. But I didn't try at Epcot today.

That's not a glitch ...No the glitches are when the FP + don't work when you can't adjust change your FP + reservations. When the MB doesn't work those are glitches there's a whole tread on them.

It's cheating because we all know its not what is intended. People are being disingenuous saying otherwise, we all know it. Sure plenty won't admit to it they will plead ignorance "but the CM told me it was okay!" Everyone knows what is going on here.

I'm not ready to hold this as "fact" yet. By reading over at Josh's site, it seems like he made this comment based on one client of a TA who was issued a non-working KTTW card.

Until I read from more people that this is occurring on a regular basis, I wouldn't panic (or gloat) just yet.

Have you been to WDW in the past two weeks with a FP+ system that according to a CM at the resort has "crashed"? If not, please refrain from calling those of us that have "disingenuous." Was I supposed to go without any fastpasses that day because of their failed system?

They are giving every resort guest both so since you are given them and allowed officially to do it how is this cheating?

And how can you call me cheating when I'm following the rules? That's never cheating.

And how is it cheating when the card lets me do what people with regular tickets can do. They can get as many FPs as time allows. Four' five or more with regular FP. With FP+ I'm allowed 3 but the KTTW card lets me get more, just like people not on the FP+ system. Sounds more like an equalizer than a cheat to me.

And the KTTW card will be ended when the system is fully deployed and I'll never have cheated, just followed the rules.

I interpreted Josh's post as people checking in now are being issued cards that do not work with legacy FP. Not sure how this technically works versus people who checked in last week...

While I don't want to enter a philosophical debate of the ethics of FP and FP+ coexisting in my pocket at the same time...I do want to know what is in store for me so I can plan appropriately. I know others, like me schedule FP+ for attractions FP is not available on so that I could use legacy FPs for those attractions (specifically MK..as the other parks are a different story completely!)

The "double dipping" has never been an official treat to those testing FP+. All cast members were instructed to inform guests to use one or the other. Guests figured out from social media or through their own trial that that there is an open loophole. For those who heard from CM, the cast member is going directly against the FAQ and resource we have.

This is 100% NOT true. Any CMs saying otherwise are misunderstanding something or were trained by people misunderstanding something.

I cannot prove it because I had no printer ink at the time, don't know how to do a screenshot, can't "save" Flash on my computer, AND didn't think to take a picture, but when I went through the process to get MBs and do FP+ reservations, it STATED quite clearly that testers would be able to use BOTH.

Because that is the only way it makes sense. You can't have people test a halfdone system and not give them something that will actually works OR without compensating them. And they weren't doing that.

If they didn't want it to work, they wouldn't have ALLOWED their machines to work with those cards.

Josh's latest blog post at easywdw claims:

You read that and think "oh it's changed".

I read it and think "someone got a bad card and freaked out and thinks it's for everyone now".
