Did anyone watch Rock Star: INXS last night?

Susie: I like her new darker look. I think she did OK but I'm not a fan of her voice when she's rocking it. I think she sounds better on softer songs.

JD: I dug it. One of his better performances from the past few weeks. And like I said earlier I'm surprised by the band's comments. They don't seem put off by his attitude at all - one of them said JD seems to be the only singer who really knows that this is all about an audition.

Deanna: I think she did pretty good...better than I expected. I think she'll still be in the bottom 3 though.

Ty: Just because someone is black doesn't mean they automatically have soul. And I'm sorry but Ty doesn't have soul in him at all. In fact the three white girls backing him up each have more soul than he does! He did nothing for me and did nothing for a great classic song.

Mig: Is he wearing a zebra-print g-string OVER his pants? I didn't really like his song...it all sounded the same. The chorus, the middle parts, everything just ran together. But it's nice that he's changing it up from last week.

Marty: He's got they psycho glare down pat! Another great performance but I think the band said it best when they questioned how he would fit with INXS. I hope Marty chooses a completely different style of song next week so that he can showcase some versatility.

Jordis: that was painful from start to finish! Holy crap she messed up! Not just the high notes at the end but all the speaking-singing parts at the beginning. And then at the end, she just seemed to give up.

Bottom 3: Susie, Deanna, Ty (only because I think Jordis has a strong following based on her past performances)

My thoughts...

Wow, I have never heard Jordis blow a song so badly. YOW! It was actually painful to hear her shriek at the end! Still, anyone can have an off night and she has more than proven herself prior to this.

Marty gets slightly more psycho-looking every week (when performing), but he has AWESOME stage presence and will hopefully have a successful career...just not sure it will be with INXS.

JD....yada, yada, yada. Talented, yes. Right for INXS, no. I really hope this week he gets bottom 3.

Still love Suzie. I thought she did great and hope she stays out of the bottom 3 this week.

Still don't care for Deanna and Ty. Never have, never will.

Go Mig! Still my #1. I liked his song, and am impressed it was a truly solo effort. I am thinking he is emerging as a clear front runner with the band -- I think he would have to really mess up big time to lose the job. JMO.

My choice for bottom 3: Deanna, Ty and JD

I am not a huge Jordis fan-I will get that out first-but as others have said it was just plain awful. I would like to hear her sing an INXS song. I think that would make me jump off the fence about her.

Jd-well he just -it is like nails on a chalk board.

Marty-love him but again I would like to hear him sing an INXS song. I still can believe how hard they were on him tonight. And yet JD killed that song & thay liked it.

The rest I liked, it is getting harder.

I agree with your bottom three choices. I find them all BORING! Even though Jordis messed up I still like watching her rather than the other three. I didn't like Mig's song at all. I think Marty is a great performer. I love watching him. I think he would be able to perform in any way they would want. He is very talented. He is still my favorite. I just love to watch him. I still think JD will hang around until the end. Top three Marty, Mig, and JD.

Suzie- My second favorite in the competition. I think she's really good and she seems very normal and down to earth- not like JD or Marty or Jordis who really need to be taken down some notches. But anyway, I think she's been great the last few weeks and I hope she's not in the bottom 3 tonight. Oh and I loved when she went over with the others and they were all singing.

J.D.- Definitely better than his last couple of songs. I think he had a pretty good performance although I can't stand him. He needs to be in the bottom 3.

Deanna- I thought she was going to flop but I think she did really well. I do agree though that it was a safe song. But she did much better than I thought she would- although she's still going home tomorrow night.

Ty- I think he did a great job! The girls as back-up singers was a great idea and sounded great. Ty's not a favorite for me but I can tolerate him longer than others. And he does have great voice.

MiG- Wow- he is amazing!! Each week he blows me away with what he can do. I was really nervous for him this week but he did fantastic. If he doesn't win then there is something wrong with them.

Marty- I just don't get what people see in him. He drives me nuts and I don't think he's good. Tonight was not one of his best performances. And I can't stand when he does the shaking thing- waaayyy to scary for me!

Jordis- She deserves to go home based on that. She had a great song and ruined it. That was very painful to listen to. And I'm glad to see her in the bottom because she was getting too cocky.

Susie has a good voice but there is no way she is going to be the lead singer of INXS just as Deanna, TY and Jordis IMO have no chance of being the lead singer. I don't think people who follow INXS would want to see any of them as the lead singer. They just don't fit IMO. Now JD, even though people don't seem to like him has the look to fit the band as well as Mig and Marty. Marty keeps doing songs that have that freaky look to them and he does it well, but I think he could perform INXS songs just as well.

Deanna- She's just a Melissa Etheridge wannabe to me. Zzzzzz.

Ty- I thought he did a good job, not as good as INXS thought though.

Mig- Great job! I like that he can sing all types of songs. Still think he's the best fit for INXS.

Marty- He's great but he's gotta start mixing it up a bit, show he can sing more then one style of music. I agree he's getting pretty freaky.

Jordis- Wow that was terrible, really just horrible. They should've brought out the big giant hook and pulled her off the stage! Dave's face was priceless!

Checking in with my opinion FYI..I LOVE reading everyone's critique's on this thread..I think it's great!

Suzie: She isn't my favorite, she never has been...but I have to give the girl props for putting her heart into everything she does. I thought she did a GREAT job tonight with a song that is a classic. I too would've enjoyed listening to her original and hopefully she'll get the chance to let us hear it! I really hope she stays out of the bottom 3 this time, she deserves to get some of her confidence back!

JD: The performance didn't blow me away..and I was surprised the band liked it so much. I'm not saying it stunk, but I was just "eh" about the whole thing. I think his attitude is a complete turnoff for me and it runs over into his performances in my mind. I don't see how INXS can say he is the only one who has a clue about auditioning..I think they ALL have a clue and are doing a great job.

Deanna: I was pretty nervous for her but she did a fabulous job.....on a song that was tailored made to her voice. She is never going to showcase what INXS needs to see if she keeps sticking to things that are catered to her voice. She never takes chances and I think that's why she is in the bottom 3 so often. I love her voice and I truly think she is great, but definitely not right for our band, INXS

TY: Ty has always been one of my favorites but I'm just not sure he's right for the band. I noticed in his interview he said he was going to make every song from here on out have more soul...but INXS isn't a soul band, ya know? I think he has a great voice and I think he did "OK" with his song tonight, but I think his talents would be best served elsewhere....unfortunately

MiG: *sigh* Oh how I love the MiG I was VERY worried about his original song only because it sounded awful in rehearsal. I was sooo pleasantly surprised when he did such a great job with it! I just love his voice, his performances and I think he'd be SUPERB for INXS. My vote is for MiG to win it all!

Marty: I am with INXS on his performance tonight. He does a marvelous job all the time, but his songs are always screeching hard rock songs that don't showcase all of his vocal talents. I was SO excited when I saw what song he chose as it's one of my personal favorites, but the yelling and screaming at the end (even though that IS what they do in the song) was a little much for me. I love Marty, I think he has a shot at winning it all, but I'd like to see him switch it up in the weeks to come.

Jordis: Good gravy! That was the worst...the absolute WORST! Somewhere Steven Tyler is weeping and I pray his never has to hear that version of his song. She struggled from beginning to end and I'm with Dave...I was cringing in my seat. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear her singing an INXS song this week. I still think she's going to finish in the top 3, but tonight was a definite low point for her.

I can't agree with this comment at all.........there are probably very few people that could do that song and hit all of those high notes other than Steven Tyler............Just like when JD did the Queen song. Jordis has more than shown that she has talent. Each and every one of them has messed up in one week or another. Although I don't think she will be awarded the job she deserves to be there more than Deanna, Susie or Ty.
Would love to see JD go just can't stand his whole attitude, but he is talented. Marty too has alot of talent but I am tiring of that manic look of his, and all the Nirvana type songs he does. I am still on MiGs bandwagon, he just seems to be the real deal, talented, great personality and someone who is real.
I think Deanna or Ty will go home tonight.

Based on the band's reaction, I am thinking it will be Ty or Suzie. Although Ty has already had an encore and Suzie has not, so I am hoping they'll go for Suzie.
