Did anyone watch Rock Star: INXS last night?

Wow, I could watch Mig perform all night. He's awesome! I thought Jordis was great, too.

I couldn't believe they all gave Deanna good reviews. I thought she was horrible. I'm a Melissa Etheridge fan, and I really thought she killed the song.

Wow, I thought everyone did well last night. However, I think the bottem three will be Jesscia, Tara and Deanna. They still did a good job, but someone has to be in the bottem three. I really think a guy is going to win this competition. However, Jordis rocked and she has an excellent chance of winning.

I really like Mig! I like Brandon too, but his voice needs some more training. JD is one of those people that drives me crazy. He did great last night but I still wanted to slap him he just seems so cocky!

Great show, I love it.

I can't help but think that INXS as a group is going to take a hard look at what is going on behind the scenes....who works well with the band, takes criticism, and improves with the guidance they are given. JD is so not doing any of that...I think the band will cut him as soon as they are able.

I thought Deanna was horrible last night too. Jordis blew me away last night. She, Marty, and Mig totally rocked it last night.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm a big JD fan. You know why? It's got nothing to do with his attitude (obnoxious) or how he acts offstage, but his songs stay in my head long after he sings them. I still have California Dreaming & One Hand in my Pocket in my head, but I can't remember what anybody else sang those weeks. To me, that's an extremely important quality for a rock star to have.

Jordis... I love her to death. I'm not all that thrilled with a female in the group, but she's just funky enough, with a great, bluesy voice. I can see her in the group.

MiG is another one of my favorites. Just something about his stage presence, he carries himself like a star.

Anyway, last night was great. I was geared up through the whole show and I think everyone was on top of their game last night.

I have thought Deanna was terrible since day 1. Never once have I liked her performance, never once have I voted for her. Her voice is just not right for INXS, nor does it have enough range.

Same goes for Ty. Something about him I just don't like. DH likes him though, so usually we vote for him.

JD bugs me as a person, but last night I have to admit his performance was awesome!

Marty, Mig, Jordis - as always, top notch performances

Tara - vocally I thought her performance was good, but she looked like she was in pain thruout the whole thing.

Susie - I think she has good vocals, her performance was fine. Not bad, but not outstanding either.

Same for Jessica and Brandon -- not bad, but not outstanding.

My predictions for bottom 3:
Tara, Jessica and Deanna

As always Jordis ROCKED last night - WOW!!! I was in tears - love, love, love that song.

I'm predicting that Jordis and Mig will be the final two.

I am hoping for Jordis and Ty. I think Ty is by far the best performer and singer, but I just lover Jordis. My husband was a rock singer for 20 years and he is blown away by Ty as well

Mig - he's really stepped it up in the last few weeks. He's now a top contender.

Deanna - just ok - she has a unique voice but it's so not INXS.

Marty - I'm really impressed by his vocals - but there's something about his image that doesn't seem true to me.

Ty - I really like Ty's performance. I think he's the total package: vocals, image, stage presence.

Jessica - I think she did really well and she's distinguishing herself from the sea of boring blonds that are on the show.

Brandon - I think his image is all wrong for INXS.

Jordis - Love Jordis! She'll be the last girl standing!

JD - He's baaaack!

Tara - Just ok. I think she'll go home tonight.

Susie - Another boring blond. No pizzazz.

My predictions for bottom 3: Tara, Susie and Brandon. I think Tara will go home.

I think Jordis will be asked to do an encore tonight.

I'm also still a big fan of JD. I listened to Alanis Morrissette's Hand in my Pocket on the radio this morning and I actually wished it was JD's version!
Dave's comment last night about being able to listen to him for 2 hours at a concert was bang-on. I think the cocky rock star attitude just might serve him well in this competition. If he doesn't win this gig, I'm sure he'll get his own record contract. And I do think he's real on stage...I don't see how anyone could fake that frenzied state he gets himself into.

That is what was wrong when he tried to sing We Are the Champions - he couldn't hit the notes.... I like his energy too, but he was awful in Champions - tried to blame it on his sister. What a crock.

I agree & you put it very nicely. He just does nothing for me. Tara I agree with the poster that said she looked like she was in pain, she never looks like she is enjoying her self. Mig had his best performance last night & I thought it was funny that he nailed Queen & JD could not. jordis is good but I would like to see her do something different-would of loved to see what she would of done with Blister in the Sun. Jessica pulled it off very nicely.

And didn't they tell Ty that he seam to calulating on stage-well then what about JD & mean even his name JD Fortune- I could be wrong but it sure sounds like a stage name.

Yes I agree - I think the band was so wrong the nite they said Ty was too calculating. I thought he was so exciting - what a great performance! He has been trying to tone it down , but I wondered if the band was afraid he was so goo they would get lost....

I agree that Ty did really well and his performance seemed natural to me. I don't understand what the band is seeing. And I think Ty has really listened to the criticism and toned down the theatrical feel of his performances.

Well Ty being in the bottom 3 was a surprise. Tara going home was not.

I like this show more and more every week. I like that they don't treat the viewing public like a bunch of idiots...none of that "we'll tell you....right after the break" nonsense that AI pulls. I like that they don't try to make a 30 minute show into an hour of fluff. I also like how the band treats the singers with respect. And I especially like how Dave Navarro keeps looking better and better!

I still think the top three will be Jordis, Mig and Marty and I really think Jordis may pull it off, they have liked her since day 1 and really she has not turned in a bad performance, the encore tonight as it was last night was awesome. Mig would really fit well into the band also, I like Marty as well, but there just is to much "Tom Petty" for me, not so much his voice but the way he looks. I was very impressed with JD in the beginning but unless I am way off base, I think INXS are to nice to want to put up with JD and his "diva image" He has caused trouble in the house and put people down showing alot of his true colors, these guys will be working closely with one another and I don't think they are looking for someone to always be stirring the pot....just my opinion.
Jessica needs to GO......did you see that outfit on her tonight, she is just putting to much into the sex pot thing, and detracting from her voice. As others have said she just needs a pole up there and some "customers" Not that she can't sing, she detracts from herself, I also don't think she is right for INXS, whereas Jordis has that "funky" edge.

I totally agree with everything you just said.

Marty is still my favorite. I have picked every AI winner so far from the first time I saw them perform (even if they did not turn out to be my favorite ironically, big Bo Bice fan here), I am just hoping my streak holds true here!

I just downloaded Jordis's performance from last night and it sounds awesome! Love her voice....I can't wait to buy her first CD! I actually hope she doesn't win because I think INXS would just hold her back.
