Did anyone watch Rock Star: INXS last night?

I think JD's couple performances saved him from being in the botton three even though his version of We Are the Champions was so bad. If he has another bad performance then I think he will be walking on thin ice. But if he continues with the good performances that he is capable of I think he will be sticking around for awhile, but i don't think he will win.

I agree with you again.

And I don't think JD will win because I think Marty will.

Jessica really saved herself tonight, I enjoyed her performance. I thought the other two deserved to go home and I think they were right about Heather, I don't think she really wanted it as much as some of the others do.

Mig and Ty are my favorites, I think Mig is the dark horse to win the competition.

I think Jessica got the message that her image wasn't working. Her last 2 or 3 performances have been much better. I was disappointed they let two go. I think Heather should have been given another chance based on her previous performances. And I liked her whole hippy butterly tattoo look. Daphna always moved strangely on the stage - it was distracting. I agree that Mig and Ty are the front runners right now. Marty and JD are also really strong but I don't think they fit the band as well.

I actually don't have any problems with a female lead singer for INXS. I think it would be cool - Jordis is a strong contender but she needs to show variety with her look.

I only caught on this week that there was a show on Monday as well. Is it always only 1/2 hour?

I told my DH last night that we on the DIS should take credit for Jessica altering her performance style, since we posted that she needed to tone down the sexiness factor, and that her fiance's cousin also posts on this board, and no doubt told her in time! She really brought her A game last night, and it was much better. That said, I agree with everyone else who doesn't think she'll be chosen in the end. Marty did a great job singing the same Nirvana song again last night.
I think the show runs one hour on Wednesday nights, when they all have to perform. I think on Tuesday and Thursday, the show may be only a half hour long, but the way these shows go, don't assume you know the broadcast time or the length, since they love to move these shows all over the place! We don't want anybody to miss anything! By the way, I stepped out of the room and was surprised to see a couple of the band members on stage. Can anyone tell me why? Also, I think they sent two home last night to shock the other contenders and make them try even harder the next time! (Producers of reality shows love to put in a "twist"!

Jessica did well last night, however I really don't see her winning the competition. Her style looks totally different from the INXS members and I think they will pick a guy in the end. (JMHO though). Also, I really hope JD doesn't win. Maybe it's just me, but he seems so cocky. Oh well! I really like the show though. It was neat last night when a couple of the INXS members actually played with the house band.

Don't think there was a reason for them playing. The one said he was going to go up a play and the other one said yeah I think I will too. That's all I remember.

Okay, about Dave. Did anyone notice he actually TEARED UP when they let Daphna and Heather go. I don't know if it was shock that 2 were going, or sadness they were letting Daphna, his favorite, go. I swear he was obsessed with that woman!

I was shocked to see both of them leave last night. I was hoping Heather would go but I wouldn't have minded Daphna sticking around for a little longer. Daphna isn't my favorite but she really blew me away when they had that jam session around the pool and she sang about her dad.

I'm glad they got rid of the 2 girls. They were pretty bad. Jessica did very well on the "Elegantly Wasted" song. I like Mig the best. Something about him.

I checked on INXS.com yesterday and they had an "exclusive" from Jon Farris that he and Garry would play on the show last night. I hadn't been on their website before but I think I'll keep checking it.

I did get the feeling that ousting two of them was a surprise to everyone. Don't you know the producers are scrambling now! The finale date for this series has been set for October 5th. I haven't done the math yet to see how many episodes that leaves and how many rockers would be left at the finale.

I agree with everyone about last night's show. I had forgotten about Dave Navarro tearing up when Heather and Daphna were told to leave. Carmen Electra had better watch out! I also thought Daphna was gorgeous. She reminds me of Penelope Cruz a bit. (Sorry that I'm always comparing people to other stars; it's just a thing with me!)

JD really redeemed himself tonight, awesome performance! I really liked Jessica too, and I think the band does also. Ty was consistent as always. Jordis was good, but that is DH's favorite so I have to be opposed to her (We are a little competitive around here!).

But bottom line, EVERYONE did great. I have no idea who will end up in the bottom three. As much as I enjoy American Idol, this show has just really got some TALENT!

Ty has had some good performances up until tonight. I don't think he will be in the bottom three.

Deanna- Didn't enjoy her at all, it was like a bad Melissa Etheridge impersonation for me.

Marty I like him. I thought he sounded good although he sounded a bit angry singing it. LOL.

Ty- Definitely a weak night for him and he was even bad.

Jessica- I admit when I heard what she was singing I was scared for her. LOL. Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, she did a decent job with a really hard song to pull off.

Brandon He started off strong but has faded fast for me. He was Zzzzzzz tonight.

Jordis- Sounded very pretty tonight, great job.

JD- Yeh, I'm totally over this guy. He just doesn't seem "real" on stage, very phoney, like it's all an act.

Tara Once she hit the first chorus I couldn't take it and ended up FF through her song.

Susie- Sounded OK but she was boring, it's not a very exciting song though.

Top 3- Mig, Jordis & Marty

Bottom 3- Deanna, Tara & Brandon

I agree,palmtreegirl, that the top three tonight were MiG, Jordis and Marty. Overall, I thought the performances were much stronger this week than last and it was harder to pick the bottom three.
But I have never been impressed with Tara or Brandon and I think they need to go. I don't think Ty quite "gets it" when they critique him. He always looks insulted. And frankly, I am so over JD. He needs to be on another Mark Burnett production:Survivor. He is so into playing games that I hope INXS sees through this and gives him the boot. Can you imagine working with him!

I wonder at what point the entire band plays with the rockers. And I wonder if they'll start "hanging out" with them a little to see who would be a good fit for them as a group, not just a lead singer.
