Did anyone see this baby in the "Mary Jane" shoe socks April 3-10?

This is just for fun, but I was wondering if any Dis-boarders out there happened to see my DD Meredith in her faux-Mary Jane "shoe socks" this past week at the parks. Each day we had a matching pair of these on her (she doesn't yet walk or wear shoes) and each day we received countless comments from parkgoers, CMs, you name it. Everyone loved these socks and wanted to know where to get them, including two CMs at Epcot's China. Even Mulan herself came over to us to comment on them (we were feeding DD when Mulan came out to sign autographs--LOL).:teeth:

On the last day, DH and I tried to count how many times someone said "look at those socks!" and lost count at about 15. We said we needed one of those clickers the CMs use to count boat passengers.

Anyway, just thought it would be fun to see if it is indeed a Small World. So, did you see this little munchkin last week?

Here's where we were:

Monday 4/4: MK
Tuesday: Epcot
Wednesday: AK
Thursday: MGM
Friday: Epcot
Saturday: MK

p.s. if anyone wants to know where to get them, you can find them at www.trumpette.com or type in "mary janes trumpette" at Google to find retailers. Seriously, I should've been selling these things last week--I could've paid for our food. :rotfl:

Bumping up just in case . . . .

I only thought to do this b/c once I was reading a post about one DIS-ers stay in a CH room that had a juice stain or something in the fridge, and the next post was from the person that left the stain. :rotfl:

No, I was not there, but I have to say - Meredith is adorable!

The socks are pretty darn cute too! :)

:flower: My girls are 8 & 10, but those socks make me ache for them to be little again! My youngest is 2, but is a boy so :confused3 no more mary janes!!!! :guilty:

I remember your previous posts with pictures of your diaper bag, which I thought was so wonderfully anal and something I would totally do!!!!! Please tell if the back was sufficient and everything you wanted it to be! :goodvibes I have a friend who is expecting soon and loves the latest and greatest in bags and strollers. Since my youngest is moving out of that stage, I'm a bit out of the loop.

Hope your trip was beautiful :sunny:

My neices wear these, and they're 12 and 13!!! They come in larger sizes, though I don't know where they got them. Meredith is adorable, btw!

where did you find them? My baby cousin is a year (time flew) and although shes wearing real shoes now it would be cool to get her a pair

I wasn't there, but wanted to say that your daughter is the cutest! The socks/shoes are so cool! :cool1:

I wasn't there either but I got the new People magazine in the mail today and there was a picture of Denise Richards pushing her daughter on a swing and she had those socks on and I thought HOW CUTE are those??? I wondered where she got them...

She got these a couple of weeks ago from my mil friend! I didn't really think twice about them, but now after seeing them on your dd, I need to put these on her, before our next trip to wdw tomorrow!

Too cute! Your dd is adorable! I wish I knew how to post my dd's picture!

congratulations!

We sell those socks at the children's store I work at! They are absolutely adorable (and so is Meredith)!!

You might try posting over on the Community Board. A lot more Diser's read there. You may find someone who saw you.

Thanks for all the nice comments, guys! These socks really do make an impression, I guess. I took Meredith to the grocery store yesterday and someone stopped us to talk about the socks. I guess it never happened before (even though she was wearing them) b/c she's been under her stroller footmuff all winter. LOL.

txgirl -- I'm glad you liked the diaper bag madness post. I took the black LL Bean bag and it worked great. It had enough room for everything I had in the post and then some, including the light-up globe we got Meredith. Man did she love that thing! I also liked that I don't LOVE the look of the bag (and it's black) so I didn't mind shoving it under my feet on the bus, etc. I could've never been so carefree with the pink bag. I will definitely post over on the Families board (and maybe trip reports) with my review of the trip; I'm just waiting for my mom to send me some digital pics so I can include those (we used our regular camera since our digital holds so few pics).

Forevryoung -- I got two sets as shower gifts, but bought the pastel versions myself at www.babybox.com . They are not cheap (set of 6 for $25) but much cheaper than shoes!!

BTW, I saw these socks featured in a couple of parenting magazines last month, so the secret may be out. :teeth:

Emmaline Lola -- Do you have any pictures at Shutterfly, Ofoto, or similar sites? If your DD's pic is stored online somewhere, you can just include the http address in the box that comes up after pressing the Image button when posting (under the size/color bars). Not a very clear explanation, but maybe this can help. You must report back since I'm sure you'll get comments about these socks!

kilee --Great tip about the community board. I will try that!

Hi Meredith's Mom - I posted a "page" for you on the families board - those of us traveling with infants soon want to hear all about your trip. Please post :Pinkbounc

Susan -- Thanks. I will check it out! I should be able to post this afternoon or this evening. I've already spent most of Meredith's nap unpacking the toiletries. So sad to be back!!!

crazywig -- Yay! A Gymbo fan. You'll have to look at my pics of the trip once I get them up. DD wore Gymbo 5 days and Janie and Jack 2 days (with one crazy Hanna Andersson day). This vacation brought to you by . . . the Gym-mark corporation. :rotfl:
