Did anyone get the AAA at YC Standard View for 09

I tried first thing the day the rates were released and told the AAA rate was not available - try back. I've tried back several times since and received conflicting info. Once I was told that there wouldn't be a AAA rate on the standard view until 12/19. The other times I was told they were already gone - how is that possible when I called first thing the first day????

So, I just wanted to see if anyone else got the discount at YC standard view?

Did you check with Disney Travel or AAA? I would check with AAA directly. I know when I was looking for rates for 2009 at CR Garden Wing Standard View, DT said they didn't have anything. Then I called AAA and they did have them. Keep trying. Good Luck.

Yes, I thought of that, but last time I went through AAA directly, I had problems with my ressie - haven't decided if I want to trust them again.

Do you mind me asking when you booked with the discount?

I called the morning the rates were released (8/3) and they said there weren't any and to try back, I've tried several times since and they still say nothing is available.

I went to AAA and they did not show any discounts available for SV either - so I went home and cancelled the package with dining and upgraded to a WV room only- which did have the AAA discount available through WDW directly. I'm paying almost the same per night for a nicer view. We will cancel a couple of our sit downs and just have something cheaper to eat.

I'm just happy to not pay rack

We will be there next July 19 ! This is what we got w/AAA AKL 229.50 standard room,CR Tower MK side 365.50, Poly.301.00, and the Yaht standard room 286.00 a night! Yes I know 4 different resorts 4 different pools and 4 different vacation!!!! We have 2 boys 12 and 16 plus husband and myself And I did call the day the AAA rates came out at 7:00am !Marla

This is very interesting to me b/c I tried to change our ressie to get a club level room w/garden view at YC and our AAA ta (who's great ) called for a couple of days but the only thing available was for club level with a water view at YC, and no garden view club level at BC either I'm glad I didn't cancel our club level room at WL before I checked.

FOr instance I was trying to book YC standard for June 2009 and the only rooms with AAA disc. were water view but BC had standards.

Then we started considering WL/AKL and AKL had standards WL did not. She said they will eventually.

We have not booked yet but maybe by September more will be released?

Yes, good thing you didn't. Have you ever stayed CL at YC before? Just curious if you found it worth the extra money...we toyed with the idea yesterday prior to my changing to the WV. I didn't check to see if we could have gotten the AAA discount on the CL though - so it may have not been an option anyway.

I've never stayed CL, but sure loved the WL in April when we were there

That really makes alot of sense, although, if you go on the Disney site, it shows no standard rooms are available at all for 1/09. If the standards are all booked, I would guess no AAA will be offered. Anyway, I'm pretty excited about the water view - at least it guarantees I won't be looking at a garbage can.
